i want a basher for beginers. i want it to be strong. and i want it to be under 300 bucks. no traxxas. thanks.

Have you checked out the short coarse trucks from companies like Losi and Hpi? They go for right around $200. With a $300 budget, you'll have some dough left over for a charger and an extra battery.

I really like Stadium Trucks. I know HPI has a Firestorm with the new G3.0 in it. You can get it from Amazon.com for like 254. That leaves some for a glow stick, fuel bottle and batteries.

Any new, nitro truck will get up and boogie, but nothing is as fast as brushless, lipo. Your talking about $150 on top of the price of a sc truck to go b.l., lipo. About 5 gallons of nitro fuel, which you may be surprised with how fast you will go through(if you bash often). But nitro will be good and fast, right out of the box.

is the g3 fast?

Decently fast.

The HPI Engines are made by NovaRossi which, in my book, are good engines, with a good amount of power......

Speed is also factored by gearing, and tire size, and the terrain that you are driving on......

they can be fast.... if this is your first Nitro Truck, i be extremely careful with "super speed" trucks/truggies/cars......

I know you said no Traxxas but my S-maxx came with the 3.3 and it moves on out. I know its at the highest part of your price range. It's a good truck though, does great wheelies. :first_place:
