Morning all !

I'm looking to get into Nitro and have been looking at the Trophy Truggy 4.6 but because this is all very new I just wondered if in your opinions this is a wise choice ?

I saw the Trophy Truggy Flux which is the electric version but is electric better than nitro?

I know this can get very in depth to say the least but some basic pointers would be appreciated before I go and spend a lot of money.

Many Thanks

If you're going to do nitro, get something like the Trophy Truggy that has good parts support. Once the engine is correctly broken in, it should be a lot of fun to run.

I've run nitro, gas and electric. Each has its own best points and what might be best for me might not be best for you. If you're interested in nitro, give it a try. Just follow the heat-cycle break-in method listed at the top of the nitro section.

I think, if you live in a small neighbour hood where things need to be quiet then nitro wouldn't be the best, although, if you have a large open space nearby then you could go with Nitro. However, Nitro RC is higher maintenance and is a lot more than just flick a few switches and off you go. The Trophy flux is also cheaper, they're both great, but, as hamz said, nitro and electric both have their strong points and weaknesses. In my opinion nothing can beat the sound, smell and sense of power that nitro gives you- and I find tinkering around with it more fun than driving the thing sometimes.
