RC Driving Style
  1. Bashing
Looking for any help I can get, I just got back into rc and went to nitro. I have a savage x 4.6 I want to sell to get a brushless truck or something. I have all 4 seasons and I kinda want something water proof. I would like a nice truck for bashing around my yard but a truggy or something wouldn't be bad. I'm wondering what you guys use as bashers and what you would suggest me to get.

I do not want a short course truck (:

I bash every type of kit there is. If you liked the savage but just want to roll electric then either buy a Savage Flux of convert your current Savage into an electric.

Savage flux definatly. A truggy/buggy will take some nasty hits. I have a rustler vxl. Awesome. Only bad thing is its 2wd. Only thing i had to upgrade is castor blocks and front arms.

Just got a summit and love the thing.. I don't even use my savage now that i got that... goes any ware i point it

I want the e revo, but at the same time I did already have it and I would like to purchase a truck maybe. Something beefy like a savage but not more then 400. But other idea are welcome, I would like to also get the associated rc18t2, but that would be after I got the main basher. The thing that is appealing for the revo is that it is waterproof. I live in Michigan, so I get all the seasons and right now its winter and I would love to drive a RC in this weather. So if you all have any suggestions throw them my way. I'm open to all suggestions (: just make sure it's brushless.

For its size a flux xs is a beast. Very tough. Change gears and run 3s. I've only replaced a steering arm.
I lost it in a night wreck. Other than that pretty solid.

My thing is the flux is awesome but, it takes a little more money out of the box to get it to a controllable rc car. I think I might go buy a merv and a rc18 team associated. I just need to sell my savage 4.6 and I can get it.

Either the mERV or the RC-18 would be excellent. I have both and love them.

I'm getting both at the same time (: I think. I will probly buy the roller rc18 and buy a cool brushless setup for it.

I run the Castle Creations Mamba Micro Pro 6800kV set up in my RC-18t and RC-18r.

If your going truggy get the losi TLR 8ight-T kit its only 300 bucks right now. you can't get any better than that. if you want a MT either sell your x and buy a flux, or convert the x. if you want a buggy I always enjoyed the ofna buggies for bashing, the lower end ones arent racing material but they are fun and dont break too easily.

I am looking to go full on brushless right now, no nitro. Also I do not want to convert my savage just because it will be a pain for me to do so.
I am really set on getting the rc18t but I want the merv, at the same time I want something different just because I had it before.
Any way the team associated is something I am defiantly going to purchase, but if anyone tells me something that is as good or better then the merv I would be happy to purchase that as well.

Hands down the losi 8ight-t with the electric kit is one of the best e-truggies available. and with the TLR kits only being $300 you can keep your build within $550- 600 tops, and still have a really nice setup. The 8ight-t TLR kit normally sells for about $600 I would jump on this if you have the money.

Thats the thing, the money. I want to get 2 rc's right now like I said and both will cost less then that 1. But down the road that setup is defiantly a option. I love the truggies I just don't have 600 to throw into 1 car. All in all I think merv and rc18t are the way I'm going to go. I can't seem to find anything that is better then that merv right now.

No matter what you decide. You will always think about the one you didnt get. Then youll save and get that one. All part of the hobby. Upgrading is so much fun.

almost anything traxxas is waterproof now. merv, mini summit, emaxx are all good choices. if you buy from tower you can make 3 interest free payments on almost all the traxxas stuff. I've had a lot of mts and each is good in its own way, i buy more traxxas because its already waterproof
