Okay I Can Either get

Savage Hop Ups
-Hitec 645
-hitec 625
-humpback for the servos
-ofna fail safe
-motor saver air filter
-hpi ribbed pipe (dual chamber and chrome)
-3pm radio/Reciver (futaba)
-New Body (candyman custom paintjob)

Or

A Traxxas E-Maxx.

See I Think It Would Be Cool To Drive It Around When My Savage Is Broken, Out Of Nitro, Getting Fixed, etc. And I Could Drive It Inside And Outside. Ill Eventually Get Both The Savage Hop ups and the emaxx. but i have enough for one or the other.

I need some help deciding and the reasons why.

Thanks

Mark

Well, if you think about it ... there will be 2 different trucks to carry parts for and maintain. I used to run 2 different cars for on-road. One was the backup to the dedicated racer. Since then, I only run one car and the money I spent on the backup racer's parts, I just double all the parts I would need to buy for the single racer.

It's up to you but spreading yourself thin between 2 trucks can get expensive. Honestly though, it doesn't take much to fix a car if you have the parts (timewise). I think you should upgrade and stock up on parts you commonly break.

think also, the e-maxx usually only runs for about 10 minutes and they snap driveshafts like twigs

Don't forget, you need to buy battery packs, and motors. Electrics are good as far as runing them but batteries and motors need a different type of care that is nothing like nitros. You can buy the stick packs but for some serious numbers and efficiency, noting beats matched cells that you build.

I'd say upgrade the savage, sure the E-maxx is cool w/ it's 2-speed manual shift tranny, but then look at it this way, you'd have too bone-stock trucks that aren't really anything special.

And, I've owned two electric cars, and I decided electric just wasn't for me. I didn't have the money to spend $75 on a charger, $100 on batteries, $100 on a ESC, and another $50 on a motor, to have it run for only 5 mins...

Don't forget at least 100 for a comm lathe too....more if you want a nice one.....and then discharger too

Well Ill Prolly Just Upgrade My Savage Then...And fix my CEN

I'm just curius why you made a wtb thread for a emaxx 1/2 hour before making this thread where your not sure if you want one or not

I'd guess if the price is right. Find an e-maxx cheap and buy it. I'd stay away from new.

Try to find a roller.

Nah, I'd fix the savage and sell the CEN....more money for the superior vehicle :)
I agree with this 110%. Sell the CEN. With that your Constantly buying parts I'm sure.

yea i do. it barley ran long enough to brake it in and stuff. i ran like 1 Pint or a quart in it...

Well, I vote for the upgradeed Savage. Really the stuff you listed are almost necessary!!!! You need a rx pack,it will save you $$$ in the not so long run. You NEED a failsafe. The 1st time you need it it will have paid for itself in the parts that are not broken. You kinda need a stronger servo. It will make running it even more enjoyable. You dont NEED a new lid, but they make it look like a new truck. A new pipe will wake up the old mill. A new radio is nice as well, a high end one you can use on other RC's when you get the extra $$ for one, and its FM,cuts down on glitches.

I toyed with the idea of getting a E, but they are just too quiet!!!

THere's nothing wrong with the emaxx. I know someone that has one and the only reason he has one is because he is in a wheel chair. it has decent run times and handles very well. It's just the necessary equipment to keep the motors in good condition as well as a good battery peak charger that will put you back. Plan on spending about $500 minimum for a comm lathe, peak charger, battery discharger, equalizer and 12 volt power source to keep her running well. If this is all within reason of your needs and budget ... go for it. Otherwise, upgrade the engine and other various parts for your savage.

Electric is great, it's the "behind the scenes" stuff to maintain it that not too many people know about.
