Sanwa Airtronics M11 4 channel with the 2.4 module. Not the most popular amongst racers, but there's nothing it can't do with the amazing menu features.
It's down to about half of what I paid a few years ago, so the popularity might start to pick up.
Pros: It's easily switchable to right or left hand, and adjustable to any hand size.
Cons: Only one. It's a little on the heavy side.

Futaba 3PK w/ Spektrum module
It dates to around the same time as the M11 and was it's only major competition at the time. Well maybe the Ko Propo Helios (I think that's what it's called) was also up there. It also does everything, fully programmable, switches hands blah blah blah. It's now slightly dated but will still do any racer well. It's also a bit heavy.

I use a 3PKS which is just a upgraded 3PK. I use a Futaba 2.4 FASST module. Has everything you can think of nearly.

I've got the 3pm and am wondering if I should upgrade. The 4KPL is tempting with a 6.8ms frame rate. At the same time I'm considering some of the spektrum models.
Have you guys noticed any lag with your 2.4 systems? I guess my primary concern is lag. Many of the tracks I'll be running on are large and at the furthest end of the track I've noticed the 3PM laging.

I'm still using the stock one that came with my AX10, but looking for a cool one that doesn't cost $300.00. There sure are some cool ones out there.

I use the Futaba 3PK with spektrum module and keep it in the Futaba hard case. I've had the radio for years and have not felt the need to upgrade it.

DX3R for me. the futaba 4pk, 3pk and the Airtronics M11x are all good radios too.

I've been reading that the DX3R with DSM2 tech has a frame rate as low as 5.5ms. I can only assume that's in HRS mode.
I haven't been able to find the frame rates for the 4pk.
can anyone cooberate this?
Close up, I don't notice any latency with my 3PM, but from 50 + feet I do notice it. The faster I go the more important latency has become for me.

I have never noticed any latency with my 3PKS with FASST or FM.
FYI, the DX3R does not have a functioning 3rd channel when you are in 5.5ms frame rate. You have to step up to 11ms to get all 3 channels. Kinda lame.
I love my 4PKS. My 4PL seems nice too, so far. It's still too new to tell tho.

3pmX for me. Range is great and just enough option/controls to confuse me.

I just read that the 4pks is compatible with R603FF receivers.
