FYI, the DX3R does not have a functioning 3rd channel when you are in 5.5ms frame rate. You have to step up to 11ms to get all 3 channels. Kinda lame.
I love my 4PKS. My 4PL seems nice too, so far. It's still too new to tell tho.

just thought about this some more.

Isn't 5.5ms slower than 11ms?

if we're talking about how far something can move in 1 second, 11m is further than 5.5m.

I'm confused on the "latency"

I just read that the 4pks is compatible with R603FF receivers.

is this true? this would mean i wouldn't have to replace all of my receivers, just the ones I want lower latency on...no?
As far as I know yes you are correct. Heck, if you have any FASST receivers you are getting rid of please keep me in mind I might pick one or two up off you if the price is right.

Yes. You just have to switch the transmitter to C1 mode. It's all covered in the radio manual.

ms is milliseconds. 5.5ms is twice as fast as 11ms.

I have never noticed any latency with my 3PKS with FASST or FM.

When I first got my 4pk to replace my Nomadio Sensor(great radio, crappy plastics), it felt like all my servos had been voltage clocked. It felt soo much faster compared to the Nomadio, and that was no slouch. If the plastics it was made of hadn't been so crappy, and they had continued to support their product I would still have it. But I saw the writing on the wall quite early, and was able to get it sold before the poop hit the fan.

Bart man I hear ya. A buddy of mine and me both went 2.4 about 3 1/2 years back he bought the Sensor. I almost bought it bu figured Futaba had been around forever so I went with the 3PKS. Glad I did now. But they were great radios.

thanks for that, I had my units wrong.

Iam still using a FM radio with 5 rigs, not going to change any time soon would cost to much to catch up to the 2.4 or the futaba fast systems with needing 5 rxs

Amen brother...I have 17 ground based RCs. There is NO WAY I could afford to have the all have a FASST receiver in them. It would cost WAAAY to much to convert them all. Most of them are staying FM until the cost comes down...way down...lol

I have the Spektrum DX3E. But Since it's new I am not sure how good it is. LOL

RC4WD XR4, $90 but its a great radio with some badass range on it. I'm not cool enough for spektrum or futaba yet
