I'm breaking-in my O.S. .15 CV-R w/10ER Rotary Carb and I'm not sure what type of fuel i should use. For the break-in procedure, I'll just use the 10% nitro Traxxas fuel, then get it used to 30%. Any other suggestions before i start this on saturday?

In my opinion, I'd break it in with the 30%. I'm not sure why you wouldn't want to, just need to keep an eye on your temp's, make sure your getting a lot of smoke and take your time.

Have to ask, is this a new mill or a rebuilt one? I didn't think OS still made that mill. I had one on a HPI MT I just sold and man, that mill was awesome! You'll enjoy it, for sure!

Don't know anything about that O.S. in particular but I'd make sure it was shimmed to run on 30% before attempting it.

Actually, I bought this motor about 2 years ago and never touched it. It's time to put that 158 dollars to use! I heard that these are a hard motor to break in. Is that true?

I'm reading the booklet right now. The way it's telling me to break in the engine is with 30% nitro settings, but it also says that i can use a range of 10%-40% of nitro fuel. If i go to 30 or 40%, I'd have to richen up the motor, right? I should be fine with 10%...for now.

Ahhh, very good point that I completely forgot to add (you da man, SD!)

When I broke mine it, I used Blue Dynamite 20% and followed the manual. Couldn't of been easier (at least mine). I'd suggest (merely suggest) breaking in with the 20%. I cannot recall if you need to shim it for 30%, but I'd check into it, just to be sure. I just think with 10% nitro and all that oil, you won't get the temp's up enough to properly break it in, but, I've never run 10%, so I could be completely off base!

Anyhow, you'll dig that mill! What's it going in, out of curiosity?

T-Maxx:classic: Not the 2.5 or the new ones... The old one, back in '02.

Unless you're going to be racing, 20% is quite a bit cheaper and IMHO 30% is not going to show enough difference to make it worth your while. It's also easier on the engine and you'll get another gallon or so out of it.
