My husband and I want to step up to nitro and we are at a lose as to what to buy to get started? Right now we have a King Blackfoot and the fun is not there anymore. I have been looking at the Duratrax Maximum ST Pro, but I still can not decide. Any help here would be great.

Looking for a truck and we have 3 acres that we setup a track on.

Yes we have one in the area that has r/c trucks and it is not the best for getting info, thats why I came here for help.

Spending limit is $350.00.

350.00 is about 50.00 short of getting one of the two most popular trucks, the T-Maxx.

You may be able to find it a few $$ cheaper if you look.
It comes with most everything you need to get going. Just add fuel and batteries and have a blast.

You may also want to check out the HPI Savage.

Read the messages in the forums here and do a search on any questions you may have. Please let us know if you need help.

Sorry here is the link for the Savage

You can't go wrong with either one

I have a Savage and it's lots of fun. The TMaxx and Savage are four wheel drive. However, the Traxxas Sport Maxx is a 2 Wheel drive truck and it costs less than the TMaxx and Savage. In addition, you can get parts to convert to a 4 wheel drive.

Hot Bodies is also coming out with a kit, but I think it costs over 400. I heard the build kit for the Ofna Pirate is a little cheaper in cost.

You want a monster or stadium truck? There are many good offerings. Team associeateds RC10GT, Team Losi's XXX-NT, Traxxas T-Maxx, HPI Savage, Dont Get Duratrax. DURATRAX=DURATRASH!

if u are lookin for a stadium truck i would most definatly go with the team losi xxx-nt sport. its the best bang for the buck you will find!!! motor and radio are both far superior to other rtr's

Whatever you do dont buy Duratrax a.k.a. duratrash. Their customer service sucks and their trucks aren't that great of a quality. If you want something i would go with the sportmaxx since its in your price range. And if you want you can turn it into a 4 wheel drive t-maxx. I think thats your best bet.

Thanks for the help. I see it would be better to save a little bit more and buy a better truck. Again thanks.

Well you can get a Team Associated RC10GT RTR Plus. Comes with everything but gas and batteries. Even has a glow igniter and fuel bottle, UNLIKE the RTR T-Maxx :D. I got mine for 289.99 And with the fuel, say.. 22 bucks and the batteries.. 20 bucks worth keeps you in the batteries for a WHILE. That's only

$331.99 + 6% Sales tax (Guessing for you) is $19.92. That's only $351.91 Dollar ninety one over your budget, and you're up and running with fuel and batteries. :)

And one other thing. If I didn't trade off my AE motor for a Traxxas motor when it blew up, I would still be running an AE motor. And AE motor is hard to tune.. But if you have ever seen an AE .15 motor in perfect tune, and with good fuel run, then you'll have the same respect for them as I do. Yes, they are difficult to get exactly right, I believe they should stay richer tho :D. I only have seen two that were rampaging motors. Others just bought the RTR and didn't care how to tune it. The ones that were in tune, would blow most others off the road. :)

And one more thing. The RTR RC10 is compatible with all factory team hop up parts. :) Which are awesome! :)

That is very smart. Save and buy the right truck the first time around. So many people buy a crappy RC, and end up spending more to get the one they should have gotten in the first place.

The losi RTR here is almost 100 bucks more without the fuel bottle and igniter :(

If they weren't I'd have one of each :) Stadium Trucks for everyone! :)
