Folks, why can I not stop this screw from tightening or loosening. I've got a cup like part to try to combat the issue but it hasn't been my saviour all advice welcome

Is the screw like... completely stuck? In that case I would've already stripped the head😂. I'd try heating up the end of the crank to loosen potential locktite and hope Phillips won't be letting you down👍

It's a mind bender tbh I've put a screw in that bottoms out so then it spins out. I've put a screw in that doesn't bottom out and it will screw in. I've shredded cogs/gearing I've used locktite and still the same issues.

What locktite are you using? I used to have the same issue everytime I drove the savage: screw, together with bearing and bell popping out each run. But once I discovered the existance of blue loctite it never happened to me again...

Measurements of the screws that go into the crank: 3x8mm.

That's the stuff I'm using I believe. I've put in an over length screw I believe, it's bottomed out, one of the engine hold down screws, got one of these 3rd pic in it she still spins out. Rather frustrating!!!

Looks like I've mashed up the new/ish bellhousing gearidge. Kinda really pissed off the hyper 7 was bullet proof till I opened my mouth

I've even soaked the bolts/screws in nitro fuel to degrease them. I need to link with someone that can school me, paperwork doesn't resonate with me unfortunately 🤐✌️💚💯

Out of all the years that I've ran nitro RC's ,this is the first time that I seen someone have this issue ,so I can't
explain or help you to fix your problem!
The only thing that I can say ,is that maybe the clutch bell is in a bind an is not shimmed right putting
a strain on the gears or the screw itself ,the clutch bell should spin freely on the crankshaft ,also you maybe
using the wrong collet or flywheel that is not giving enough space on the tip of the crankshaft for the screw!..🤔

Did you wait for the thread lock to cure before running?
Yeah I left it over night

There was about a mm travel between the bell housing and the screw head. I've no idea where the gearing/cog half has come from although I had popped a drive shaft out on the front. It needs a new clutch/clutch shoes as the original ones are dust now, also needs a new bell housing the one I fitted is destroyed now, the housing travels past the first cog which was the drive cog. Thanks for sharing your info though its greatly appreciated
