I want to get a Nimh battery pack for both my Savage and my T-maxx. Which ones are the best/cheapest that you guys use? Do I have to get 2 different packs and chargers? I haven't opened my savage yet (I think I'll wait till Christmas) :hammer:

you will prolly want a pack for each truck, but you can interchange. they will use the same charger but again, if your gonna run both you will want to charge them at the same time if your useing the overnight chargers. i use a hump pack from www.onlybatterypacks.com, i like theres because they have the charge lead built in, I've also used a venom one but i would have to unplug it every time i wanted to charge it.

fasteddy also makes some hi quality packs, and he can prolly make you a few if you ask nicely.

just remember to get as many mah as you can afford. more mah = more run time.

I use a 5 cell 3 on bottom configuration pack that I made using 1250mAh NiMh Cells, pretty good, and a decent runtime.

I have an Orion in my Savage and an HPI (who makes it I don't know) in my RS4. The Savage I use a charge switch becuase the radio box is a PITA, but on the RS4 (with carbon deck) I can easily get to the battery and just unplug it to charge. I use a Black Widow charger I got for a good deal right here on RCNT.com and it works great for quick charging and can use 12-v input too to recharge at the bash site (might be important to you if you take your rig somewhere else beside your back yard).

HTH...
