Absolutely amazing truck fair play what a beast!! Took it out for an hour today and wow 👌 now to fine tune everything and get it set-up just right
Use a temp gun. Good guns are cheap at home improvement stores. Don't buy it on the cheap side of china in other words. 🤣

Have you considered a steering servo upgrade?
That would be on my list next I think.

How is the body? Worth putting aside to save before you wreck it? MT bodies are all over! Easy and fun upgrades too.
Same with tires!

Congrats on the rip! Its always fun to watch them run!
I'm glad you love it!!! 😎👍

I had the idea of using a battery/Lipo powered heat gun to get a little heat cycle through the motor before runs and to save cold starts.. I’ll definitely be purchasing a temp monitoring gun shortly for the long runs when it’s set up right 👌

I do want to upgrade the steering servo to something a lot more responsive as the current one seems to work fine as far as I can tell but I can definitely see there is room for improvement there.. also I think I’ll get the throttle servo swapped out too.

Any recommendations for servo’s? and set-up’s?
I also need to purchase a body at some point but for now I'm using it as is with just the frame but taking me time so I don’t smash it to bits 😂

Warming the motor pre-start is always a good idea!
The temp gun is big. It helps tuning and to hopefully catch a problem before it gets bad. 😎

Budget determines which servos to buy to some degree.
I have been buying Reefs servos but don't have much usage on them yet.
They are known for being great servos tho a bit expensive.
NitroPro is another great servo co. I see myself trying one of these if Reefs fail me.
They come HIGHLY recommended!!!

Eco power, Protek, AGFRC, MKS... there are a LOT of options.

Some ppl here swear by generic scamazon servos too. The price is right and they are sort of disposable when they break.

I think with a servo upgrade, one thing I always look for is replacement gears sets.
If I drop $$$ on a servo, I want to know that I can fix it too if need be.

You'll want a servo with some snot for the steering. Moving those big tires around is why I thought an upgrade here would be a good idea.

The throttle isn't so important to have ultra speed or power imo. If your kit needs mega servo power to work the throttle and brake, I have to wonder if there isn't a bigger problem.
I think you'll still notice an improvement over stock, decade old servos tho.

I haven't upgraded any of my nitros, only getting started with 'good' servos too really so my knowledge with set up is limited here too.

Running a nitro without a body can be bad on impact! Def be careful!
