what brand glowplugs do you like to use? my lhs supplies McCoy brand for about $4.40 each and Dynomite brand for about $5.00. have run both and i dont notice too much difference. btw, i am running in an associated .15. whats th big deal about tall glowplugs? how much are they and is it worth it?

If you have two flavors of glo-plugs and they both work, then your issue doesn't exist. Be happy that you have a good supply at the LHS.

I run the McCoy plugs in my .15 engines, and they work just fine. I have run quite a few different brands, but that one is always in steady supply at my LHS.

I run Fox gold series long (the ones you call "tall") in my .21 engines. The extra length means more coil to provide that combustive spark or heat. Supposedly it decreases compression by adding volume. I call BS on that one. The volume increase is easily only 1-2 percent, and really doesn't impact compression.

Regardless, if you are happy with the plugs you are running, stick with them.
