Share some pics, we are gonna need more information as OFNA offered about eleventybillion .28’s, and .26’s over the years. Gonna need to know what the shim-stack is, or what it came out of-so quality pics & more info will help greatly here.

This is my ofna 9.5 mbx and the other 2 came off of a ofna ultra lx

Nice sir! Don’t see those old girls that often anymore-let alone that clean. 😎

Without checking piston to head clearance you will be fine at 25% and a hot/ultra hot plug. If you wanna run 30%, I’d for sure check your clearance-as you’ll likely require at least another .1mm shim in your stack. Always read your piston to verify your engine is happy-that’s the best advice I can give for sure. Math is math, but it ALWAYS boils down to what your engine likes, and if it’s happy with your combo. Track surface, vehicle weight, ambient temps/humidity, traction, gearing, etc., will all contribute to what it wants. Hope this helps. If you have any more questions, feel free to tag me-and I’ll do my best to sort you out. 🤘🍻

By the way-your cooling head is installed sideways in the MBX.. Rotate it 90deg either direction you want. 😉

Yepper-no problem. That “slot” should always be oriented in the “front to back” position, as that’s what allows incoming air to cool the head button/plug area. 😉

No problem-what’s the issue/symptom that you’re not liking with it?

FWIW-if memory serves; the Force/OFNA engines use a long plug.. Are you sure you’re not experiencing mechanical pinch from a brand new motor by chance? I suppose someone could’ve swapped out the head button for a thinner firedeck unit, but it’s not very likely.. Best thing you can do if you’re worried it’s making contact with the piston is to remove the head, pull the head button, and verify the plug comes right up TO the burn room, but does not actually protrude into it.. Won’t take ya 3min to establish what you’ve got, and what you need. 🤘

I feel like the plug is a little to long so I'm gonna get a short plug
