I have a Dynamite glow igniter that I've been trying to to charge for a week. Usually I charge it for like 3 hours at a time before I go to bed and notice it's still red on the indicator and just unplug it and try again the next day.

Do these things usually take days to charge ?
This is my first nitro so I don't know

Should take a bit more than 10 hrs from flat dead to full with that charger. My guess is that the battery is below minimum voltage and your charger is not recognizing it/charging it.

BRO…. That meter only moves when the circuit is completed with a GOOD glow plug… No good plug=open circuit.. Read your paperwork. This is crucial when you lack experience in nitro.. 🤷🏻‍♂️😅
I assumed the red led on the charger. 🤷‍♀️

That old Ni-mh charger doesn’t work that way. It’ll charge a potato if you want it to.. 😂

Wow, so many different chargers for all these batteries has cost me the most in this. All I want to do is run it but I have to wait 10 hours, buy 2 different chargers and all this is exhausting. I finally fixed up my girls car and been trying to get mine moving.

Fortunately, your glow battery should last all day.
You might want to think about a back up just in case still.
Electronics for RC are not cheap. Not for anything worth owning at least.
As @Littlemotor said, learn first, buy second. I research EVERYTHING because I've got caught up in buying things that don't suit me or just don't go together the way I thought.

I ask questions here and most of the time I'm wiser than when I started even if I feel a bit foolish asking about stuff that I'm sure most ppl already know.
I will admit, the first time I had a real young guy explaining lipos to me, I felt a bit oit of place. 🤣
It still confuses me sometimes even now. 🤷‍♀️
Batteries and charging different types and different rates... its a lot to learn!
You'll get it. 😉

Hopefully you'll have 2 working cars to bring to the track soon! 😎

Thanks, I was expecting to pay more for replacement parts more than I would with electronics, batteries and battery chargers come to find out batteries and chargers that are worth while seem to be the bulk of it.

I think I've probably got more than $800 put into my Kyosho Neo Inferno Nitro and the car by itself was just $450 some odd. My girlfriend's car was about the same, BUT the batteries and chargers are absolutely insane.

Fuel or batteries... both expensive I guess. 🤷‍♀️
I do a lot of shopping and I jump on deals when I see them. I buy parts from Jennysrc.com... save where I can.
This is a VERY expensive hobby if everything costs retail prices!

At least you have some nice cars for your efforts! 😎👍
