what esc and motor for rusty

Hello,
I have 2 rustys 1 is set up with high speed gear, 4200 mah 7 cell 8.4, I do 52 with this set up. I just bought a max amps 8000 3s 11.1 v lipo.I have not gotten it yet but I could imagine how fast it will be. Now for the question the # 2 rusty has no esc or motor but is aready set up for high speeds what I want to know is there a superior esc motor combo that will make it faster. I was looking at the mamba max but it wont hold the 3s lopo. Whats your thoughts

You can run the Mamba Max with 3S with the BEC disabled and run a UBEC.

I am new to this, What exactly is the bec and the ubec and how do I do that?

BEC is short for Battery Eliminator Circuitry. In your ESC, the BEC's job is to provide a constant 5-6 volt energy supply to the receiver and servos. Since the BEC is basically a resistor, taking the battery's output voltage and dropping it down to a voltage that the receiver and servos can handle, the excess energy is converted to heat. This limits the amount of voltage it can handle. A UBEC or Ultimate Battery Eliminator Circuitry can handle higher input voltages than the built in BEC in your ESC, and also has the advantage of higher current output to power your servos.

To disable the BEC on the Mamba Max, you cut the center wire on the servo lead to the receiver.

When you say you do 52 with your current setup, what exactly are you talking about (miles per hour, run time in seconds, ???)

What is your current set up (motor/ESC)?
