While doing some spring cleaning, I noticed that I've managed to accumulate a rather large quantity of R/C Magazines over the past year. Although many of them have some very useful information inside, I've managed to accumulate so many of them that I am now starting to run out of room for them all.

Tell me, what do you do with all of your magazines when you are finished with them?

I drop them off at the barber/dentist/doctor/veterinarian office if they are in good condition. That's mostly stuff that is at least 8-12 months old. Otherwise I just keep them next to the bed and read a random one every night to help me fall asleep.

Dom,Dom,Dom, If that's the only thing to help you fall asleep at night...Brother, we got to talk at the RCX show. I'm going to have to get ahold of Jon2 about this also!lol

LMAO. Guys we have wives or at least DOm and I do. Why do any of that?

LOL. I had old RC caraction ones from 1989. I finally trashed em all. Forget it I just keep for a couple monthjs max

Christ, Dom! You are warped in so, so many ways, man! Dr. Phil would have a friggin' field day with you!

As to what I do, I bought a bunch of those cardboard magazine holders from Staples and keep them in those. I have every Sports Illustrated since 1992 and every Playboy I got when I was in college (hey, the Brazilian triplet issue is going to be worth some coin someday, I know!) I've got a crawl space underneath my family room, so I set up a couple sets of those plastic shelves you can get at Lowes and store them there. The R/C ones I keep on a shelf in my workshop as reference material. I try to use those little flags to mark tips and stuff.

Dom, I'm going to have to double-up on my sleeping pills tonight just thinking of you rubbing one out to the picture of a chassis! I feel bad for Nevnitro and Jon2 when they go to RCX with you, walking around with a chubber all day!

if anyone has some magazines in an ok condition i would be more then happy to take them off your hands!

Speaking of RC mags, I don't have any scipts (yet), so I went by Booksamillion today at lunch, and I couldn't believe that they didn't have a single RC mag, not one. :(

I collect them,I have RC Car Action since 1989 ! All not one issue missing! LOL

I have over 400 RC mags(Car Action,RC Driver and a few others),plus over 1400 audio mags(Stereophile ...since 1985 and many others).How is that for a few mags.

Fun to go back and see how it was back then, how all these high tech in thier day cars are low tech and simplistic today.

while were on the subject, what magazine would you guys recomend for noobs just getting into the hobby and looking for all the hints tips and usefull ideas they can get?

Jaymasta, Don't mind MW..He's messing with you. The mags that I read may be different from the other guys here. But these are the most common ones read. I subscribe to all three. But others here will very on which ones they subscribe to also. They are RC Driver, RC Car Action, XtremeRC Cars.

I was keeping them, but I've been going through the old issues and cutting out either reviews, tips or what not that I want to keep for future reference and put them in a sheet protector and then into a binder. Though my time is becoming less and less free so I'm probably going to shitcan all of them.

Yeah, just kidding. RC Car Action and XtremeRC are the two I get. RCCA has a lot of great tips in every issue, both for noobs and even experienced folks!

Best thing to do is go by a Borders or Joseph Beth book store and pick up any that catch your eye. Read them and then, if you decide to, order a subscription.

I know Ratzo posted some pages he scanned from one, Anyone scan the articles and keep em electronically?
