I'm just hooked on spending money on rc's! I had no intentions of buying anything for my slash until it broke but the postman has been bringing rc packages a few times a week lately.

Pete... you must have the best wife in the world... or just get home before her.... I tried that once... you know the ol' "I don't know honey... the package was just on the doorstep when I arrived!" deal.... it didn't fly well... LOL and she generally gets home before I do... hell I can't get $20 out of the ATM without hearing about it 20 minutes later... nothing gets past her!

Lol, my wife encourages it. I've spent over a $1,000 since March when I bought my Speed-NT, then my Mutilator. Then a new engine for the Mutilator, upgrade kits, fuel, glow plugs, etc. Plus I just bought her a Losi XX-CR buggy that she loves! Though I had to tell her to be careful with it because parts are harder to find for that one.

Though, come to think of it, she may not know the amount of money I've spend, but she does know I've spent alot.

That would be the best case scenario.....my wife on the other hand thinks that playing with RC's is juvinille, she thinks the firearms I have and like to shoot are a waste of money and generally doesn't support any sort of hobby what so ever. Unless it is downloading books to her Kindle.... that would be the only hobby she would support for me.

Just curious, of all the types of R/C's everyone's into what are the most common RC's, parts, tools, etc do you find yourself buying most often? Either as a LHS or online.

Is this just a general quandary or is www.kickassrc.com going to be adding some stuff for sale on the site?

I am home when everything arrives but 99.9% of the things I buy are bought on line and paid through paypal or credit card so she sees everything I buy, she just chooses not to worry about it....It took over 15 years of marriage to get there :hehe:

I am a very luck man with a great wife, she likes to see me get things I want and I usually have to talk her into buying things she wants.

to: godale03 time to get rid of a wife. but first take ALL the money and put it in accounts she can't get to, at least 3 accounts 5 is better. this will give you ALL the bargening power. then if she asks where it is, say i toke it veges and gambled it all a way. after 32 years i finaly got rid of mine, should have done it a LONG time ago.

Paint.

Unfortunately, it's the only aspect of the hobby I seem to do anymore. Haven't turned on a Tx since winter. Lame...

Might as well add parts for my MERV. I keep breaking things on it. Sure is a fast little critter, though....

I'm glad I'm not the only one.... My track out back is in need of some TLC... my rigs... well they are getting to near Rolex status.... Just a room full of shelf queens......

battery connectors! Everytime you buy a new battery, motor (if brushed), and speed control you gotta put connectors on them!

Man Tom, I'm tellin' ya. I never thought a new job would absolutely kill my hobby. I got so overwhelmed there for a while... I'd like to back into it a little bit. Back to drawing my dream racetrack :D

Work, Kids, taking care of a home.... it all gets in the way. Now don't get me wrong, all of that is well worth it.... but still sometimes I wish I was a kid again, without all the worries and responsibilities of an adult.

Yea, and Alice Cooper isn't even the same since it's no longer 1974 anymore. But the songs, "Years Ago" followed by "Steven" still freaks me out. Face it, "the carnival has closed, years ago......" freaky song. Check out those lyrics next time you wish you were a kid.....

Taking care of a home can be fun, if your doing a home improvement project. At least it gets you out of doing the regular maintenance that stinks.
