Okay guys. This is my first good radio. I wanted to first start with my Traxxas Stampede, electric I know but the neighbors like it better LOL. I have read the entire manual front to back on programming and installing etc.

My question is this: The wiring that is currently on my Stampede is slightly to wide to fit in the ports of my new SR300 receiver. What is stopping it is a plastic, almost like nipple or shaving along the side. Can I shave that down or would that some how conpromise my wiring? It does not seem like it is severing any purpose, but i am sure I am missing something here.

Thanks

i have done it a hundred times, its just a guide to let you no which way to plug in the wire, just make a note of which side the red wire is on when you install it and you fine, take a knife or a pair of scissors and carfully shave off the little line of plastic and you will be fine.

Awesome, thanks that was the answer I was looking for!

+1 just make sure when you plug them in that the black wire is always away from the rx at least thats how i remember to not plug it in wrong. which spektrum did you get?

that perticular receiver has polarity marks so it made it very very simple in the aspect. I got everything complete in the stampede, now I am working on the LST2....a bit more time consuming. I got the dx3s. I wanted telemetry for my Lst2
