Sooo, I must confess. I haven't kept you guys fully up to date with this build. I may have missed a step and all the recent work.
I've had to ignore my family for a day and a bit, to make time for this build. If I didn't, I'd never have time for the hobby. Me time. A man's got to do what a man's got to do.
So I've been on the tools and haven't updated this thread. Till now.

Front assembly back in situ:
Theres only 5 large screws and the servo saver screw to remove, to remove the front assembly, so its easy to r&r.
RX box and antenna in place:
I still need to source 2 screws to replace the rusted and rounded screws.
The keen eyed may have noticed that the engine was installed a while ago. Although I only just finished installing it. I was held up waiting on header gaskets. Every time I bought one, they'd arrive bent or broken. After 3 arrived damaged, I gave up and made my own with 0.4mm gasket paper. The 1000x250mm gasket paper was actually less expensive than one small header gasket

A tip for you and myself for next time:
Install the exh header to the engine before installing the engine. I had to remove all the Ez-Start assembly and use the L shaped allen keys and turn the screws in small increments. It wasn't fun.
Engine and exhaust in situ:
I'm still keeping an eye out for the blue anodised header 4487 or the complete tune pipe and headers 4485. Their a bit pricey though.
Throttle and brake linkages:
Wasn't as hard as I expected to setup. Still waiting on 2 collars to replace the rusty 2 ones.
Fuel hoses and filter installed:
Wiring:
There's 2 harness. The power harness which include the battery holder and power switch, and the Ez-Start harness. I forgot to take photos before I installed them.
Old school power switch:
The wires were excessively long so I sortened the starter motor and engine ground wires.
I then used harness wrap tape to keep them organised. I think it looks better.
I've powered it up to centre and operate the servos. All working good.
The throttle and brake servo and linkages were easy enough to adjust. I used the
Traxxas 2055 if I haven't already mentioned.
The steering servo (Hitec D625MW) sounds good. I'll just have to limit steering at full lock as the TX does have dual rate or end point adjustment, so the steering knuckles are stopping the steering beforethe servo. It's going to be mostly a shelf queen so I'm not too worried about that.
