Thanks man. Big improvement compared to what it looked like. I might do a before and after photo.

Still a few small things to sort out and a decision to make about the body.

I'm not sold on the plastic exhaust. It looks ..... boring I guess.

One of the little issues which I'm currently trying to rectify is the front wheels bind up when tightening the nut, before the nylock gets enough contact. Even without the shim.
It's the optional 5mm blue anodised flanged nylock nut 4147X, where the standard nut is 4147, which is a non-flanged nylock nut.

As you can see in the photo below, the flanged nut is taller. I'm going to fit the standard nuts for now but I'll order some blue anodised nuts without flanges just to continue with the blue scheme.

I did measured the old and new spindles and they are the same length.

Ok, next item on the agenda. The body.

Do I use the Og V1 Nitro Sport body which is in great condition and discontinued? Can't find a new one.

or the JConcepts, Team Associated RC10GT authentic body 6131. I could paint it navy blue and white or black, to match the blue anodised parts.

(Only rough cut to fit for photos and sitting high as post hole not cut) comes with decals and wing.

I'm not sure. What's your thoughts?

Keep 2 bodies. Stocker for shelf and show, RC10 for scratch and dent.
I really like the stock GT body anyways .
I'd keep the rare one on the side.

Keep checking there for your rare stuff!

OK, OK. Stock body it is. I'll give it a clean, get some decals and make a wing for it. I just wish it was the blue one thats in great condition.

That body is clear. You paint the base color of your choosing on there

Does the body come pre-stickered but not painted? It looks that way to me, I just never saw one sold that way before.

It's not stickers. That's silkscreened on the inside, just like Traxxas does their bodies. They just leave the final color dealer's choice.
