I have a Fly sky that has the throw rates that can be programed to 0 to a 100 % ,so you can always get new radio
gear that has the option ,some radios only have servo trim!

Flysky's are reasonably priced ,got mine for under 40 bucks!...

I am not sure what your referring to. Steering trim adjust alignment left and right of your front wheels. Many simple radios do not have the ability to turn down the throttle speed. Throttle trim adjusts the neutral position of the esc. This would be true of the basic Traxxas radios. On Traxxas vehicles there are a series of steps to go through to set it in training mode. There are also steps on the esc to set it for the NIMH batteries. I believe most Traxxas 1/10 scale basic models come pre-set for lipo batteries.

Get a different transmitter then.

This one or the flysky which is a little more expensive allow throttle adjustment and more servo adjustment than simple alignment. It is cheap but I have one for my sons wltoy 12428 brushless upgradr..I can adjust the speed from about 25mph all the way up to about 40-45 from the remote. Throttle trim while not holding throttle is for nuetral range..adjustimg trim while holding throttle is for adjusting speed. Same with servo trim..adjusting without turning steering knob is for allignment, adjusting while turning knob all the way is to adjust how far wheels turn. Not familiar with the traxxas remotes but if they have throttle trim they can probably adjust 2 ways also.

Have seen those and they are very nice radios. I am not sure that's the best for a new driver, especially for a very young driver. In working with kids simpler is often better.

It is like a PC or cell phone ,my nine yr old G-son can run circles around me on using them!....LOL
