Hi people,

I probably dont belong here but where else can I get first hand advice?

If you were to receive an RC related gift, what would it be? Please include pictures or links bc I'm still just learning. Are there mods for these? Accessories? Would a gift card from a specific website be best? Price cap of $300-$400ish please

I know zero about RC Cars but my bf is into them. He's had others he's had to sell but recently got the one in the pic. He's mentioned crawlers, but again, aside from the reels I see idk what is what.

Just wanna help him rebuild the collection if I can.

Ok thanks!

That is pretty rad of you to do. Look at the vanquish vrd stance. It is rtr or ready to run. Vanquish also sells kits if he like building them. Axial also has some really good rtr trucks. Those are the only two brands I own.

Welcome to the forum.

How many RC's does he have right now? If you can sneak us a pic of his collection, that would tell us what he likes.

Also, does he build his RC's or biy ones that are already assembled? Does he work on them much?

If you bought him a kit for $300-$400, would he have another $300-$500 to buy the rest og the parts needed to finish it?

Has he ever asked you to drive any? None of my ex's ever took any interest in my hobbies, and it would have made my day if they had. So if it seems he'd be interested in having a day out with you guys running some RC's, maybe buy a couple small 24th scale crawlers. They are around $125 each and come with everything, including a battery. 24th scale trucks are about this big...

You've been given great advice!

If you have a local hobby shop that you know he visits you could get him a GC from there or like others have mentioned, Amain. Or split it between both? No one place ever has EVERYTHING you need, you usually have to shop around a bit.

As others have mentioned, in this hobby people can be quite specific about what they like or don't like.

My LHS (local hobby shop) has a wish list section on the website where my wife has picked gifts from in the past. That eliminates potential disappointment because, well, I picked it LOL

Good luck!
