Ya, I never use creepers . 42 years as an auto tech. I don’t like how you move around trying to turn bolts.
Now a days it’s all lift work so not much call for them. I got a roll around stool from snap-on. Had a hole so it was cheap. Use it every day in my tiny shop now.
I need to get my 3d printer going and print up a little garage. Would be great for my smaller scale stuff. This is pretty inspiring 😉

My garage is just my workbench. I just decorated the walls with scraps and doll house stuff. Did not spend much on it really. But it is a very functional work space.

Yeah, I noticed that. My problem is my walls are surrounded by my tools and storage 😉

I moved the tools into a tool box I can carry to the race track or rocks. And built shelves for parts boxes and some tools.

The pegboard that I had went out in the shed to hold big stuff.

I can't move around very well in my old age, so my tools all need to be within reach.

That’s a nice set up. I know what you mean about moving. Got a new knee now so it’s better.
Still working on it, but slowly. I am still trying to figure out what to do with remaining space. The last thing I printed for it was my Milwaukee stand. It will attach to the left side.

Now that the chassis and suspension is together I can really appreciate the quality of this kit. I have a couple other crawlers to compare it to and it does not compare. Everything fits together perfectly. Everything moves exactly like it should and nothing interferes or binds. It all looks good. And of course the boys did a great job with the assembly.

It's time for the boys to kick back and stare at it drinking a beer 😉

Great job guys!

ya, and I ain’t building another either.
There are three reef servos.
Winch, Dig and steering
I wanted all the servos and motor to match. And I want all the options. Unfortunately I won’t be dropping this off five foot high rock piles. Or even actually running it much. It just to nice for me.

Now comes bodywork and paint. No rest for the wicked.
Just make sure the boys wear their protective gear. We don't need Statler and Waldorf getting painter's lung 😉

I decided to paint the inner fenders to match the body. I’m not sold in it but can always paint them black later. Flat black on the wheel side

So this is the end of the build

The interior is really cool how it is part of the truck bed.
Designed by James Knight of Knight Customs it is pretty nice and uses a Tamiya driver figure.
The paint is Duratrax Lime Pearl #8981 backed with PS 12 silver and then basic black.

This has been a super fun build. I spent months collecting parts and definitely did not want to rush the build.
I have other wheels and tires but the stock tires are actually pretty good so the smaller tires keep me off the rocks. Bigger tires fit with no problem.

Statler: "Well, what do you think?"

Waldorf: "Do we have time to go to the bathroom before the next build?"

Statler: "We can't, you old fool. We're bolted to the seats!"

Actual quotes from Muppets show except "build" was "show" 🤗
