Back then, they considered not being strapped into the car a safety feature. They probably figured by the time the car was on its roof, the driver had already been ejected. :whhooo:

Indeed, hard to watch.
It's hard to believe they would even consider driving with an open cockpit and no seat belts or roll bar.

Now that's some serious racing. The fact that most of the tracks had no railing or fence up, then watching them all fall off the track.
The part where they are racing with columns in the middle of the track (@ 2:10) - hot damn!

That made my tummy all crazy, @ 1:45 was the most wrenching to see
