Velineon problem

I got a used kit from a buddy of mine. He was having problems with it so he gave it to me. Well I started looking at the wireing at the traxxas battery plug. It looked nasty. So I cut it of soldered one of my deans connectors on it. Well it powers up just fine I get my green light. I pull the trigger runs great for about 3-5 seconds then just cuts ou to about 1/4 throttle and stays there. Then the light blinks red.

If I remember right a red flashing light means it went into thermal protection because its overheated, not sure why it would be doing it so fast though.

Well when my vxl in my 1/16 boss would go into thermal shutdown it would blind red fash. This is more of a slow blink.

Oh, thats prolly low voltage. You check your pack? What batt are you running?

Well If I could recall it should have been atleast half way charged up. But ill try I've been wrong before.

But the trucks gone anyway. Traded for a vxl rustler with 2.4 radio. Ill put a pick up after few.

Turned out the truck has rpm front and rear a-arms and Rpm front bumper.
