I wanted to put the 1650kv motor and the 150amp esc. Will this motor be powerful enough. It's the turnigy trackstar. I liked it because it was brushless and only about $120 for the set.

What Rig do you intend to install the system in.. & if the turnigy spec's say it will work in your Rig... THEN YES I see no problems / issues on what your trying to do

1650 is a pretty low KV motor. You'll want to gear up on your pinion. Thats assuming your putting it in a 1/8 scale MT. If not then I probably wouldnt go with a 1650kv. Like Grave said, what kit are you getting this for?

If your planning on running 6S Id run something closer to a 2000kv or 2200kv

Agree with you graywolf but he's looking for speed as well... I'd bump it up to around 2500kv MAX 3000kv A 2500kv motor will get his Rig pretty quick on 6S

The Castle 2200kv is the highest KV motor that I've seen that handles 6S. The 2650kv is typically a 4S max so the 2200 on 6S usually ends up with the highest possible RPMs.

You can pick up brand new emaxx or erevo brushless setups on ebay all day long for $250 shipped. 6s from what I have heard is ALOT for a brushless maxx so Imagine it would be hard for and old emaxx to handle the power unless it was upgraded properly.
