Cracked open my electric tmaxx's brushless Emaxx trans, (yes i said tmaxx 😉). Looks to be in good shape. . However, there isn't the slightest hint of grease in it. Do (or did) these ever get grease(d), should I add some while I'm here?
There is also a plastic gear in here, input shaft gear i believe? Is it best to go metal or leave as is?
Just getting back into RC after years of being away and I can't remember some of these smaller details lol
Trying to get this 6s powered tmaxx converted emaxx going once again.
Thanks!

Definitely put some grease in there. I use Red n’ Tacky in all my cars. But I’ve used wheel bearing grease, black graphite grease, marine grease, etc in the past with no issues. Any grease is better than no grease, I’d just use whatever you got kicking around. Use just enough to coat the gears. Anything sealed like that should get grease IMO.

Thats what I was thinking. I vaguely remember greasing previous trans years ago, but I couldn't remember for sure. I've got some marine grease layin around I'll slap in there
