Well as you know minds change. After some serious snow bashing with the wife I've decided to look at yet another crawler. I love the trx-4 so I'm considering the 2021 bronco version but I'm still interested in the cen f450 . I've taken a good look at where and how I use my crawlers and i use them mostly as trail trucks. I enjoy the scale looks and abilities of them so I'm looking for real world advice on the f450. I've never owned a cen but I remember them being around when I very first started in the hobby 20 years ago. Let me know some honest feedback on it and if I should spend the extra 200 on a bronco instead

I don't have the CEN F450, but I definitely want one. The V2 or whatever it is they came out with that has the taller shocks is the way I would go. It would be a more capable trail truck.

Whats up bud. So that I'd a personal dilemma. Those CEN f450 are sweet. They are a 100% scale model of the Ford f450. And it's beautiful. Funny part is CEN has the licenses to the Ford f line. And traxxas has the Bronco line. And you pay 200+ for the Traxxas rc over the CEN rc. And have you seen any of the videos on the f450 the air bag mod. The bronco is just a body your paying for. I want the TRX-4 but will be buying the build kit with the 312mm WB. With the crawlers you have it would be sweet. To load one up on a trailer and have it towed to the trail..would be fantastic..... to see
Reviewing the F450 Super Duty RC Custom Truck from CEN
You don't even need a trail just bed ramps

That is true I've looked at the specs and it's literally a rebodied Land rover defender which I have with a raptor body lol. The bronco body alone is 225 and that just seems ridiculous to me. For the same 600 I can get the f450 and upgrades so I think it's the way to go.

The only downfall is the sway bars on the axles, planetary gears, and multi piece chassis.

Plus is ture tenth scale, tranny gears flipable like traxxas 1/16, trick aluminum parts, aftermarket scale acessories.

I'm slowly building one.

If scale is the goal, why not an RC4WD? They have some of the most incredibly scale rigs
I've looked at them however I'm not into toyotas or the like and that's all they seem to offer besides a blazer and at that point I can just get a traxxas blazer body. I have an axial smt10 and really don't like it. The quality just isn't there on it so I avoid axial all together.

I personally like the Bronco. But I'm usually the odd man out (emphasis on odd). ;) to me the F450 looks like something that would prowl the mall, not trails. Just looks to polished to me.

I agree to that mall crawler look. I've been looking around and ill get new wheels for it and those should solve that issue 😆

RC4WD toyota's are no match to the CEN F450. There is so many option for the F450. You can make it a show truck or throw a lift kit on it to make it a off road mudder. or throw air bags on it to make it a workhorse. Definitely the better option between the two of them

its the truck that tows your crawler to the trail. in the nice inclosed trailer you bought for your comp rock crawler;)

yeah the price for that TRX-4 is ridiculous. That's why i will be getting the build kit. As for dooms shinny mall crawler🤣😂. just throw lift kit or the air bag kit on it. and some super swampers. and then you will be good to go buddy

My wife already budgeted for the bronco but showed her thst for the same price I can get the f450 a trailer and other parts. She's on board with that. I'm going to use the f450 as a tow rig anyway so it will work out better this way. Now I can tow her raptor drop the trailer and run with her

Oh hell yeah buddy that's awesome. They got so many different lifts trailers it's endless for the f450 the tube has some really cool videos on that rig

Add much as I am a fan of the TRX4 line, I believe you've made the right choice with that CEN.
.......and a trailer as well? Hell yeah!
