I am getting back into rcs and am primarily into crawling....hooowever, i am also looking for a 1/18 truck or truggy....I know most of the smaller scale come brushed...but I was looking at the losi micro-t....I want to be able to play with it on road/tracks and off road....suggestions?

Id take a look at the LC Racing 1/14 trucks. SUPER fast, and super reliable! I'm pretty sure a couple other people on here have them, and they can chime in!

I think the micro-t is a little too small to handle true offroad, unless its a dedicated micro track. They truly are itty bitty. Did you happen to mean the mini-t? If thats the case then quite a few of the members on the forum have them and can vouch that theyre incredible fun. Still would be a little rough on a true outdoor track, but they rip on offroad carpet.

Like Luke said, LC make pretty decent little racers.

What scale does your local club race for mini? That would be a determining factor for me, wether i planned to race or not, its always nice to have the option.

Well I have been going back and forth between a micro or a mini. I am leaning towards a mini, but i do love the itty bitty scales 😆. Good idea about asking the track races.

I love my ecx ruckus....got it for 30 bucks on ebay, but I think they were only like 100 new. 4wd, classic stunt truck geometry. 380 motor.

I would shy away from hypergo. They are not great to work on in my experience. Quality of components is not good at all. Everything is monkey metal and chinesium.
I have one of the LCracing cars- it’s been really good and was a fun kit to build.
WarrenRC or riptide RC has good prices on LCracing.

Might be worth looking at the Arrma Groms. I have the mojave grom and really want a typhon grom. You can get them brushed or brushless and they are super tough. Arrma's are very popular and parts are everywhere.

As someone else mentioned, id stay away from the hypergo stuff. Not much of a parts following which is important to me. I also drive rc's like I stole em so its a preference really. Come to think of it, I drive everything that way.....

Oh shoot!!!!! Thank you for the link. I was looking at the black and pink, but couldn't find it in stock anywhere!!!

These Losi JRX2 models look like a good deal...

I wouldn't order anything from King Cobra. The only time I did, it turned into a huge mess, and then I found out that there are tons of complaints about them, from orders never being received by customers, to orders taking way longer than expected to get (that was my issue. Ordered from them, only to be told, 3 days later, the item wasn't in stock and had to be sent from the manufacturer, which took almost 3 weeks because it was backordered), to items never arriving, and even issues with returns and refunds.

Another one to possibly look into is WlToys. I know they aren't popular with some, but, my GF and my roommate have several of them, and they seem to be pretty decent. They mostly have buggies though.

Well I will let you know how it goes, lol. Already ordered it. But I use the shop order and tracking app and have never had am issue. So hopefully it goes right.

Odd, I've ordered from them several times in the past two years and never had an issue.

I spoke to a CSR yesterday and they had it in stock and I got the usps tracking end of day yesterday. I read the reviews and it is a mix of good and bad...which i feel like can happen with online ordering. Not just RC, I have had good and bad experiences with other stuff too, like amazon, orders never arriving or getting lost, Just happens sometimes. I will say the shop app for tracking is amazing and I love it. It has helped with a lot of tracking.
