My son has a habit of pulling on the wires instead of the connector and pulling the wires out. One wire has writing on it and the other has a broken line on it.

Dose anyone know which line is positive and negative?

Ok, fine take what ever you want just don't let him near my charger!

If your charger is similar to MODEL:JD-3509002U, INPUT: 120V AC 60Hz 0.1A, OUTPUT: 9V DC 200mA. Then the broken wire is the positive, and the one with words is negative.

I'm not 100% sure, but if you have a volt meter you would have to check the wires.
If not and if the charger has a reverse polarity protection you can just take a guess of dashed line positive and connect up, if the charger shows the polarity fault, reverse the wires.
If it has protection, which it would most probably have, then no damage will happen to the battery.

D'oh, been answered :)
