Traxxas 2.4Ghz system

I'm planning to buy a traxxas 2.4 system for a non- traxxas vechicle, Do you think it'll work with any electronics like all remotes/receivers do?
And is it worth buying?

it should work ..as long as you have the transmiter and receiver ....i like them ...but i never used any other ..I'm sure there are some better ones out there

ok ..i see its the newer high output one ..i like them because they just use 4 aa batteries instead of 8 ...only diff is that mine is a 3 channel ....and thats around the same price i paid for mine to

it will work ..pretty sure of it ...just hook up your servos to it and go

OK, I'm pretty new to electric RC, does the servo go in channel 1 or 2?

it should have the 5 channel receiver ..there should be 2 channel 1 for dual steering servos ...channel 2 is for throtle/ break
