Is there a way to fix minor mask paint bleed or overspray? Not that anyone'd notice unless they got *really* close and anal but there is a place on the lid I'm shooting where there was some slight bleed under the mask. Can I get in there with a q-tip and some thinner and buff it off or use some mild abrasive to remove the offending paint?

Just curious what you guys do when mistakes happen....

The problem with finding something to take it off is finding something that won't fog up the lexan.

How bad is the bleed? I have used toothpics and rubbed minor bleeds off, you can also use a q-tip with a little da, but be very very careful not to rub off any paint you don't want removed.

Unless you were looking very closely and new where to look (and painters always know where to look damn you all!) it's not very noticeable. I went at it with a toothpick and q-tip a little bit so it's better than it was but you can still see it. I just posted the pics in a thread in the Body Shop forum with the completed lid.

It sounds like you've already gotten it backed, but next time you get some bleed, mask the part you do NOT want to take off with some of Tamiya's plastic masking tape, then rub with a Q tip and DA, or a wood toothpick and some DA. At times it even needs to be scraped with an X-acto blade tip, but doesn't show after the repaint.
