Glad you liked it. The compression did nothing for the video quality. I have the DV quality sitting here and it takes up a lot more space. Much more than is reasonable for a download.

Well, here it is...the video that Pirata has been anxious to see. The quality is about middle of the road, but I'll let you judge that for yourself. I didn't have much to work with so this video is a short 3.25 minutes for a whopping 11.1MB download. Note it is a Quicktime Movie (.MOV) which means you either need the right CODEC for your media player or you should download the Quicktime Player.

Either way, enjoy!

Winter Bash (11.1MB)
That's what I am talking about!!!

Man, now everyone's going to know why I am the master of disaster....

Nice job Sky. I take it that brown telitubbies hate 1/8 buggies! That looks like a fun track, but those puddles make me cringe.

Humbolt - Lol bro, I'm game if somone else will join me in my quest..hehe.

Sky - Thanks for the good show man.

That's it the RCNT mullet hunt is on! We should vote for best mullet capture and have a prize. I don't mind providing something to give away. Get your camera's ready!

This would have been the weekend for the bash instead of last weekend because we have 70 degrees right now and this is perfect weather. Oh well, maybe next time.

No kidding. What are you doing Sunday?

I'll ask. If so, maybe we can try the track again...of course that means I need to make a trip to Debbie's tomorrow and do some work on the Savage and T-Maxx...still not enough time to get the buggy running, but it can do some idle tanks while we play.

Means I need to get off my butt and install the new servo in my inferno and start both buggies. I'll see if John can come too.

Looks like we have our work cut out for us. Alanna has given the green light for watching Makayla. That means I have a trip to the LHS to make, and you need to get your buggies ready to play.

Just got done with the T-Maxx. One way needed cleaning. I decided to break down the entire engine and give it a once over. The internals are great, but I am perhaps a gallon or two away from a rebuild on the Fantom. Looks like it is time for me to start my twin .21 project on the T-Maxx. I'll probably start parting it out after our RCNT bash.

The Savage turned out to be better than my late night inspection from before. If I go on the cheap (meaning no upgrade) my total cost for damages will be about $4. The clutch shoes were not any more burnt than they have been. The water in the clutch bell actually saved them from any major work. The spur gear on the other hand is toast (and that is all I have to replace). The rest of the drive train is in fine working order. Tranny and diffs all saved by a properly set up spur gear (lesson here for everyone).

Here is the inside of the spur. Note the shards of the little friction pad burned/melted into the outer ring of the spur gear.

Here is the outside of the spur. Note the meltage around the bushing. Going to need a chisel to dig that thing out of there.

Finally, note that none of the teeth are missing or screwed up. The friction segment of this slipper clutch did exactly what it was designed to do. It ate itself before letting the rest of the drive train get torn up.

Good to hear. Both trucks are ready to go. The buggy will have had two idle tanks through it.

You wouldn't believe the reason why it wouldn't start up in the first place. Will be posting a thread on the topic later.
