As for the cold starts, have any of you used a torch to heat the head?
I use a mini butane torch i bought for in-the-field soldering. It came with a blow torch tip. If you set the flame relatively low and pass it back and forth on the head fins, it will pop right off in a few pulls.
Granted, you could mess up an engine if your not careful, but it make quick work of cold starts. I normally pass the torch flame back and forth through the head fins until the head temp is over 100. Only takes a minute or so.

No, can't say as the torch idea had passed through my mind. I did bring a hairdryer and suitable kit to make it work from a car battery. Little did I know that my battery was on the way out. Now, I have to replace the battery in my car...it is dying.
The temp gauge read a whopping 50 degrees on my engine head before I could get it to start. Not too bad.

The only people I like spandex on are hot chicks. And there is now way I like a mullet on anyone...mullet is a fish and should never get mixed in with a person's hair style.

Well, here it is...the video that Pirata has been anxious to see. The quality is about middle of the road, but I'll let you judge that for yourself. I didn't have much to work with so this video is a short 3.25 minutes for a whopping 11.1MB download. Note it is a Quicktime Movie (.MOV) which means you either need the right CODEC for your media player or you should download the Quicktime Player.
