I was playing around a shallow creek, with the emaxx. It's a brushless, with the mamba set up.....anyway, it got to deep and it cut off.I have taken the esc off and apart and put it in a ziplock bag and covered it with dried rice. to help remove the moisture......any advice on what else to do will be appreciated.
Thanks
L F

The rice method is good. Leave it in there for a while. Hopefully it'll recover. Good luck!

I plan to let it dry out a couple of days and then give it a try. Thanks for the input, hope I get lucky. I certainy learned a good lesson, you can't believe everything you see on utube,ha,ha....Will let you know how it goes.

The brushless E-Maxx is not waterproof or resistant. The brushed version is water resistant.

Id let it sit about 3 days like that before I tried it. Hope it didnt fry but my guess is if the water reached it it most likely did. Make sure you pull apart your servos and make sure theres no water in there. the motor should be fine as well as the lipos. Far as I'm aware water wont hurt them.

I let everything dry out good, got it back together, but all I'm getting is a flashing green light on the esc, with no functions.Does the control have to be reset after a thermal shutdown?....anything else I need to try, other than ordering a new esc? Thanks guys!

Reprogram the ESC as if it was new. If that doesn't work, it's time for a new ESC.

YEE HA!......got the old boy going again, guess I got lucky this time! I will be a little more careful around water in the future. The good thing, now that I don't have to buy a new e s c, I have $150 to spend on upgrades, which is a lot more FUN!

Thanks again for all the help and advice.

Good advice mudslinger, I guess the rice thing worked, or I just got lucky. I still want something that is waterproof. It would just be nice not to have to worry about frying the esc or more if it gets wet.

Hey thats an idea! ......getting a little tax $ back. Which model is the most waterproof, the Summit?

They are all the same, as long as it's advertised as waterproof. Just be aware that they are water resistant, not waterproof. Which means don't try and drive it on the bottom of the pool. Although I have had my emaxx in water to the top of the lid with no problems.

silly mudslinger... you can't drive it at the bottom of the pool, it floats!!
