ok, so what's the breakdown on wheel / tire sizes?

What's a 40 series?

How's it compare to a 38 series?

I want edjamucated on this!

I'm looking into putting the tallest tire I can reasonably fit on my Revo and would like to know what I'm talking about!

Back in the day you bought tires for your RC10 and specified the OD at something like a 2.1" tall tire!

Can anyone out there help me?

Thanks

I'm anxiously awaiting this edjamucation too. :D

According to that site/breakdown, "40 series" doesn't have anything to do with the rim size (diameter)

It looks as though it's just like the P-Metric setup for cars wherin the "40 series" is the ASPECT RATIO meaning 40% of the section width of the tire (measurement "c" on the page)

I just wish they'd give the section width as part of the tire description / size as well as the rim diameter (235 70 R 15 translates to 235mm section width, sidewall height 70% of that on a 15 inch rim diameter).
