thinking of upgrading my MERV to castle 1/10 power...

hey guys I'm in the process of upgrading my MERV to 1/10 castle power. i'm putting in a castle creations mamba max pro and the castle 5700 Kv. This may seem like a dumb question but is the shaft on the 1/10 motor larger in diameter than the 1/16 motor that came with it stock? i am thinking that it should be so i'll need a bigger (in diameter) pinion in order for it to work. on amainhobbies, their isn't shaft size on the velineon 380, but the 1/10 motor says it's 1/8" in diameter. thanks guys. o and has anyone did this to their MERV?

I have seen guys put a new motor mount on them and run the 1/10th scale motors but to be honest with you i think its pushing the truck past its limits. Only one way to find out i guess. Mamba max's and motors are pretty cheap these days

I think the shaft sizes are the same, but don't quote me. Find out for sure so you don't put your new, nasty setup in and have to wait for a pinion to test it.
