Not 100% sure but think this might work, not sure which gears your running.
Metal gears
i have the optional underdrive that comes with the rtr but am willing to change that,
so i would just swap out that gear you linked with the gear thats missing teeth? plug and play?

the driveshafts exit on the driver side, i want to keep the https://www.hobbywingdirect.com/products/quicrun-fusion-pro?variant=40105176760435
@MVRCA your super smart, i want to make my gears extra durable, also the bronco took that hill SO easily, thor the kid who was driving it had a blast hes in love with "his" first rc. if i had it i think it wold have made it all the way, can't wait to get out there and give it a good run up the hill.
can't thank you enough... i digress
where do i find a transmission for the ecto?

Looks like it but you might want to wait for @MVRCA to chime in, he can probably give you a definative answer or possibly a better option. I haven't had to mess with my gearing yet.

ok so we all see that i need those steel gears. buuut their gong back into the same plastic gearbox. now i know this isnt a problem
but cosmetically wouldnt it look a LOT cooler if it was a shiny aluminum gearbox that i was putting those steel gears in???? i think it would
can you guys help me find one of those? yall have so many sites I've never heard of. and this google browser i use just keeps regurgitating the same amazon links and add pages i can't find an actual company that makes a steel stealth x gearbox. heeeeeeeelllllllpppppp meeeeeee
or rather hold my hand and point me to the right direction cause i suck?

Your not going to be able to tell whether it's plastic or aluminum once you cover it in dirt! 🤣
But I understand, you will know it's under there and it will make you smile knowing that.😍

I used to put a ton of detail into my rc plane cockpits that nobody ever saw, but I knew it was there.

i really like that i just wish it was in silver... not a deal breaker mind you.. its now in a cart bookmarked for purchase hopefully friday, bills keep kicking my ass. wifes not been working, her crippled sister has moved in i swear my lifes like a gd made for tv movie these days. it sounds like I'm just making stuff up the long ass list of poop thats gone wrong this past 2 months.. if not for this hobby and you guys ida physically harmed someone by now.

I think the stealth is so quiet because of the plastic gears, let us know how the metal stuff turns out

It’s aluminum so you could de-anodize it

I can totally relate! :thumbs-up:

interesting... ima have to get a set of plastic as well in case i dont like em. i dont want it being all noisy. those rigs @MVRCA and a lot of people i see on youtube run with that loud whine?? oof omg i couldnt stand that, so i may need to stay with plastics if the metals make noise like your saying.
you said save 50 i dont need it, what were you measning? what was 50 extra over that aluminum case you linked, the one i linked was a ridiculous 260!!! you saved me 200 with your link lol

Man, you guys are cookin' on this thread. I'm pretty gentle on my crawlers, so the factory gears have done well, but steel is a upgrade for sure.
