Clipped the pole

Broke a screw

Just snapped in half
While unscrewing it. Normal Traxxas quality. Replaced it with a hex screw, which should've been a hex in the first place lol.

Good thing I had vise grips. It snapped clean off with about 3mm of thread out in the air

Today, I destroyed the front drive shaft on my 1/18 Fury-bolt. (Furitek chasis, Deadbolt body). This can happen with plastic crawler driveshafts. I think Furitek was using early Hobby Plus axles before they beefed up the drive shafts.

I got my front tire in a bind under a ledge and didn't know it, until I realized my other front tire wasn't spinning. The shaft spun itself like a candy cane, first twited, then curled. I took the photo after I uncurled it a bit. Guess it's time for some metal shafts. 🤷‍♂️

Ahh crap. Got the thing out to fully assess the damage and my body mount is gone 🤦‍♂️also a ton of binding in my drive line. I knew just a suspension arm broken was too good to be true 🤦‍♂️

EDIT: Never mind, nothing is broken in the drive line, the impact force was so great it threw my motor forward and made my gear meshing super tight.

Also he was very sorry and agreed to pay for any replacement parts needed!! You break it you buy it, that's my rule when driving my rc cars. We all mess up, we all make mistakes. It's about how you handle the aftermath, that's what counts

Well @luke66 let me ran his truck on 2s! 😆🤣🫠
I never should have bought a 3s battery in the first place. The same battery has killed 2 esc's, and makes things go way faster than they should. Too late now 🤪. He was fine on the 2s, never broke a thing. I'm shocked my $15 tires held up on 3s.

For reference, apparently I bent his chassis. Lol. But it was in the back behind the transmission and that part of the chassis had no supporting weight on it so... It was expected to happen sooner or later anyways lol.

I just got 2 CNHL 3s packs from their flash sale a couple days ago. To run in my slash and run in series in the Typhon for 6s. We'll see how all of that holds up... Lol

I doubt you get far. 2nd or 3rd time I ran the 3s I snapped my slash chassis and smoked my esc 😬. Hey, I did get a LCG chassis after that, and it's been probably one of, if not the best upgrades I've done

I already got the LCG on mine so...

And I've been running hobbywing BL120 speedos for the past year 1/2, and the older max10s in the past before that so Itll probably survive 3s with no issues. It's just that I run high kv motors (4000kv) so I do plan on going down to the lowest pinion I have which is a 14 just for testing it. If I have a spare 90T spur I'll also put it on there. If it stays cool I might go back to my regular 23/86 gearing.

I mean If I do this later next month when it's like in the 40s out, heat might not be an issue. Lol.

And I suicided mine and ran a 31t pinion on a 76t spur gear 😝. I've never ran anything slower than 23/90 on the slash
