The "What did you buy today?" thread...

We've had a family day today.
Went to a play center, climbed to the top with my kid. Then we went out for lunch and because we were downtown we went to a collectable/Hot Wheels store in the area we don't usually go too. I HAVE to go back solo!!!! šŸ˜

Found this absolute gem sans box so we didn't feel guilty about buying it & unboxing it or anything.

Very few flaws in this example!
It's from mid to late seventies with releases into the late '80s. Personally I was never familiar with this toy line but we have a NEW thing to collect LOL šŸ˜†

You can see he is desperately trying to grab it from me while I document it before we mar it in some way.

We also took it for a walk lol

Oregon non-residence fishing license, two pole endorsement, envasive species permit, and Oregon watar way permit.
With a new roll of fishing line, it cost me $241.00

Dear lord. They don’t even take you out to dinner first?

Edit: checked our out of state license fee, $68 for basic license for year, add another 60 for salt water if you fish below the salt line. But retired military would be $20 for basic, unsure on saltwater fee, doesn’t show for retired military there but shows $15 for active duty

Hell no, they expect us to catch our own dinner. ;)

The Oregon side of the reservoir is so much nicer for us disabled guys. Slower current for kayaks, deeper water and more cliffs to stay out of the wind. The big money is worth it.
The only place to camp on the Idaho side is a campground named Steck park. Nice Park in the Spring but miserable hot in the dead of summer.
It's a bit of a walk to the water and I really can't do that much anymore but on the Oregon side, there is several places I can back my truck up right down to the water.
Plus, my kayak stays right side up on that reservoir. :D Owyhee reservoir not so much.

just a regular fishing license, in Cali, will cost $60. It pay more if you want another pole, special species, etc...

Almost cheaper to pay a fine these days.

Isn't that the truth? Luckily, I get a big discount on my Idaho license and only pay $5.75 for disabled.
Only a few more bucks for two pole permit.
I could get a huge discount through Oregon but I have to be reviewed using an Oregon Dr. Screw that.
