Apparently I bought a new phone last night. Somewhere between shutting down apps that I didn't open and restoring apps, my brick-o-matic bricked its last brick.
I might be hard to find til this gets worked out.
This is the second(and last) time I sat in a Verizon store only to be told that the phone on their site isn't actually availible. Possibly not by coincidence, he did offer to replace my phone with any number of bloatware glass/plastic phones. Unfortunately we were not successful with those phones in the past.
If the manufacturer will sell direct, Verizon stays, if not, I need to find a new cell provider that works in the woods in Maine.
Oh joy.

I have learned to love to hate them!
At one point, Verizon was simply the ONLY provider that worked.
I moved and my service here sucks like everyone elses does.
This limiting the types of phones certain customers can purchase is F'ng stupid and will cost them my business without question. Mrs Certified also wants a phone from this co so thats 2 customers. Tight plan Verizon!

THAT was my experience with Verizon not 2 hours ago.
We'll see if the manufacturer saves Verizon or fries them.
Verizon's contract with ASSurian MUST fix ALL phone for (in my case 1st year) is just as stupid.
ASSurian put their own background files on my phones... multiple.
NEVER AGAIN, NOT EVEN A CHILDS TOY WILL BE SENT TO ASSURIAN EEEEEVER AGAIN FROM OUR HOME.

Yes, I can open a business account for the business I don't have to avoid this. It is a phone geated towards business and is well protected from impact, waterproof, chem resistant etc.
I think its even on the verizon site, geared toward "adventurers". Hikers, outdoors ppl, mechanics, ppl who work outdoors or run their r/cs outdoors in the woods in maine might all find exceptionally useful.
It doesn't come full of nfl packages and candy crush 10000000 crap. The user actually has some control over the phone.
I tried online. Its not a big thing, I knew this was coming.

I know the struggles with companies like Verizon me and my parents used to use AT&T years ago but after their bad customer service. We switched to Consumer Cellular half a decade ago which me and my whole family now use and it's been perfect. Buy a fully unlocked phone and get them a try i can definitely recommend them. If i may ask which platform did you decide to go with Android or Apple IOS? I started looking at a new phone for me someday and was looking at IPhones.
