I mumbled something about 3s, he seemingly looked for my request to no avail. He leaves after getting my other parts for my slash and I walk down the counter and look in and see this 3s lipo...came home and soldered in my connectors, programmed it, and took my 3 year old son out to check it out.....One word to describe what a 3s Lipo does with a 8000kv castle motor? How about backflip. Idk what the point of this setup is in such a light, not so well built platform, wheelies aren't REALLY possible when there's no slipper, 2wd with limited traction, took it to the street, for a run, my estimate was over 35 at quarter throttle, past that and it's wheelie city...

There are still radio shacks? We lost ours years ago.

Yep, they do well around here because they have zero competition.
We had 2 of them, they both closed.

Ordered new super HD bones for my flux, bent one pretty bad today, figured I should get a set on hand. Hit a steel pole mid-flight. Also picked up a set of e-maxx 17mm tires/wheels for the flux to use instead of the 3.8's on geodes. No offset vs the geode's 1/2" offset. Less overall width, but also less strain on the arms and whatnot. The tires should give a bit more cushion for the landings as well. Also ordered a new steering link and bellcranks for my jato. Was trying to replace a tie-rod last night and I busted the stupid bell crank. So, ordered the upgraded alloy steering link with bearings as well, since I'll have it all apart again to fix it.

Today I bought a watermelon.

And some HPI clutch shoes and springs which, surprisingly, fit nicely on the Kyosho GX15.
You know that feel when you add after-market upgrades to your car? Feels like a new batch of fresh air.

Ordered new Enduro Engineering hand guards, Tusk rear brake disk guard and Acerbis skid for my bike. As well as a Oberon slave cylinder as the stock seals already went out, turns out they aren't DOT 4 compatible even though thats what fluid is used and Magura isn't going to do anything about it for us Husky owners.

A JP spring kit for the .300BLK with hunting season right around the corner, a car power wire for my Whistler scanner, and a direct wire smart cord for my Uniden R3 radar detector.

...Also picked up a set of e-maxx 17mm tires/wheels for the flux to use instead of the 3.8's on geodes. No offset vs the geode's 1/2" offset. Less overall width, but also less strain on the arms and whatnot...

Turns out, the offset of the geodes was required for the front tires to not rub hard on the big bore shock springs... lesson learned. I ordered a set of the extended Super HD axle stubs which should add the 1/2" I need to run 0-offset wheels. For the moment, I'm running an old set of RPM 17mm revolvers with old school 3.2" t-maxx chevrons on it.

Also just ordered a vg racing roll cage for my ERBE. My body has literally split in half across the windshield due to roof landings buckling the body. It now has zipties holding it together... Guessing it will increase the COG a bit, but with 9000mah lipos on both sides, I can't imagine I'll notice much.

Also ordered a second spektrum SR210 to replace the orange knock off in my ERBE. This will be the 3rd orange one that has lost range on me this year. The SR210 with the coaxial antenna seems to work just as well, even though it costs 3 times as much... twice as much if you include the $8 shipping from China for the orange ones.

Just about the time I get my rigs bulletproof... snow will be on the ground and temps will drop... oh wait, I also run electric now! :)

Ordered a taller Scosche magnetic magic mount for my car, some extra metal plates, the hard wire kit for my dash cam, some fuse taps, and a 12V adapter for my handheld scanner.

The nVidia K1 Shield had its battery puff. I took it to get it repaired and was told they couldn't and was given a FULL refund for the amount that I originally paid. I picked up a cheap ($200) Windows 10 tablet with keyboard. Still waiting for the updates to finish, but for a full HD touch screen, it's not bad....

It was a great tablet, it just that they didn't quite have the cooling where it needed to be which caused the overheating and the battery puffing. It's a known issue on them.

So I bought a 3.3 revo roller awhile back for 60...today I found a complete revo minus rx/tx an estate sale find...This thing was so dirty, and just caked on with crud...great compression, pullstart, I noticed from the picture the a arms and the shocks...get it home it's practically all metal suspension, with a really smooth steering setup...good servos, jr racing race torque Z650m, basically everything I need and then some for another 60 bucks...got it home rinsed the tank which was bad, no fire. Couple drops into the carb, fired up in a couple pulls...I'm happy with both deals, cause once I clean the upgrade parts and swap onto the perfect roller I started with, should be good for a basher.

Anybody know about this brake set up carbon fiber?
