Most washer fluid contains alcohol, that's why it doesn't freeze. Alcohol degrades rubber over time. Maybe not the best idea. To each their own.

Been done since the beginning of time, and arguably the best option.. Tires don’t last forever, and I’ve yet to see filling them with methanol or antifreeze cut their life short..

They used to use calcium chloride until they learned the rims wouldn’t last , beet juice is the best option but costs more

There’s always gonna be something better, but obviously meth or glycol gets the job done with minimal issues..

I'm in the south on the Forgotten coast, and rimguard or beet juice while heavier, isn't as prevalent here.

But yes its for ballast in tractor tires.

For sure! Washer fluid is probably most commonly used due to cost

I don't think we had washer fluid or tires for that matter at the beginning of time. Just because someone has been doing something for a long time doesn't mean its the right way
