do to traffic i took a slightly different route to work this morning. dodged traffic nicely. then got to a log jamb of of big rigs waiting to all pull into the same driveway. had to make a left. go around and all the time i saved by not sitting at an intersection waiting to make the third green was lost making the left, then a right, going down the street, making another right. added at least a mile and 2 extra intersections to the commute. so no time was saved. i just can't freaking win

The side street that leads to our office is in between two car dealerships. the jerks who drive the car transport trucks park in the street instead of pulling into the dealerships (BMW on one side, Lexus on the other). This morning there was a car hauler in each lane (one in each direction) with enough space to go through between them. Well the dingdong in front of us wouldn't go through. After a few irritated honks they finally went. Some people should not have a license. I need to get some pics of the car haulers blocking the lanes so I can complain. It's a busy area.

They do the same thing here. Public road between the dealership i work at and the Nissan dealer next to us. The road gets blocked all the time.

well a very nice coral red euro model 56 rag top bug (rag top is the one with big ass sunroof) was stolen from a shop in Orange County CA late last week. car was found dumped behind a warehouse yesterday sounds like not far from where it was stolen. stripped the fenders, seats, and engine. then they torched it.
i guess the good news is the area it was dumped borders on privacy infringement do to the amount of security cameras. so somebody's bound to have something useful. and there's already a very clear picture of the guys face and his get away truck (from a security camera) floating around. and a 10k reward for info leading to his arrest, so its just a matter of time.

I don't gripe about work too often...but if you come into a restaurant as a party of 3, order 1 meal, and ask for it to be split 3 ways....stay home.

If that's how it is.... maybe the place with oysters on the halfshell, cloth napkins and stuff dressed in micro greens was the wrong place to be...

I see you're also 1 of the pinky lifting sailboat types that needs it to be special just for them.....may I suggest the carbonara...with the sauce on the side, and the bacon on the side of that, with the garnish on its own plate

That's really what it is. I'm sure they have no financial troubles paying for 3 meals. At some point people are wealthy enough having nice things is not enough. The game becomes....what dumb poop can I get the staff to do just for me.

meanwhile here it rained hard on wednesday and thursday, and today? none. not a single drop.

i thought it WOULD eventually come pouring down later today since it felt like someone cranked the sun's brightness up to 11 all morning, but no! not even a hint that it would rain. not once.

so do to a chemical spill situation at a very near by (my work) aerospace business i have the day off! so why am i posting this in the rants? well i woke up, got ready, attempted to go to work. the whole area around where i work has been evacuated. so i speny almost an hour slogging through traffic trying to find a way in, burning $6.12 a gallon gas only to finally talk to a cop and have to drive all the way back home.

More home improvement headaches. I pulled a command strip the proper way so I can put a display shelf on this area of the wall but it still took a chunk of the drywall paper so I cleaned the loose stuff off, sealed the brown paper with mod podge and just applied the first coat of compound.

I'm reading about a hole in the wall and can see the first pic, so I'm like, and you fixed it with peanut butter? iv heard of people "patching" nail holes with toothpaste but this...

The first coat turned white so I applied a 2nd coat, should be ready to sand once it’s dry and turns white again

This is sort of a rant. I have half a dozen 1:10th scale rc cars and trucks I've collected over the years. I'm no expert, but I think someone's lying to me. I wonder which of these are actually 1:10th scale.
