I always said I loved my job for 20 years, but I was there for 32!
I left my hometown to pursue a job in racing. I loved my job where I was, but the aerospace and military jobs got old. Then after getting a really good job making nothing but Top Fuel, Indycar, and Nascar stuff - 9/11 hit and the racing industry took a huge dive. So the race shop I was at took on a bunch of garbage military stuff to keep us employed through the rough times. Story of my life. Get into something great and the rug gets pulled from underneath me. Still, I had about 7 good years total making really cool stuff.

Unfortunately I know what you guys are saying about the body giving up. Unfortunately the medical industry seems more interested in passing me around from 1 referral to the next so everyone gets a cut than fixing anything.

Very little money in a cure for anything. However, there is a multi-billion dollar industry built around recurring treatment, whether it succeeds or not.

No one dims their headlights anymore. They all said heck with it. Can't see? Whatever. Drivers: Get you some eye burners too, pal cauz I don't care.
You've had the solution since 1983

It has certainly gotten ridiculous out there.

I'm pretty good about knowing what's brights and what s not (based on the head light arrangement). I've started flipping my brights on and either driving towards them or angling my truck at them.

The benefit I have in Canada is my likely hood of getting shot is extremely low. Not zero. But low enough to take it on.

People just don't care to educate themselves, period. Nevermind what headlight housing they have and what bulb they SHOULD be putting in there.

The amount of people I see on the road with high intensity discharge in regular housings is ridiculous.

Just driving around with this tungsten welding rod lighting their way.

My rant for the day...continuous nose bleed that lasts until I turn the forced air gas furnace off and the moisture content gets back over 30% in my place. It's like the inside of my face is turning into beef jerky...
Ditto - I feel ya'!
Humidifier and neti pot are your friends!

Get yourself a humidifier.

I should just install one on my furnace but I'm lazy so we have a few room ones. I've been using this cold steam one we got from Amazon, it's low power consumption.

I have been able to keep the house up around 30-33% most of the winter.

For me if I run our ventilation system (separate from the furnace) it brings the moisture down so fast I can't replace the humidity quick enough.

I switched to getting my nicotine from 1 of those vape rigs for the winter...figuring vapor has a higher moisture content and may make a difference....for science!! It's cheaper, but I can claim no conclusive positive results otherwise. Lol I look forward to real tobacco season again...

Only collard greens in my cigars. 🥰🙃🫠

Most of the vapor options are trash. The compromise I found is to treat it like food. Buy the stuff that tastes like a sweet version of lemon pledge and pair with unsweetened tea and its...ok....and there is nicotine. So there is that

On the flip side, we can't get morons to turn on their headlights. 🤷‍♂️

I used vape pods and refils to quit smoking (nicotine) entirely. I swapped reds for high strength vape juice. Once that wad done and no longer buying butts, I started at super strong and gradually worked backwards. Every time I bought a new bottle of juice, it was lower strength.
It got to the point at the end where it tasted so bad, I actually WANTED to stop vaping and it was easy. 😎👍

I make no effort to give up nicotine....I just change delivery systems now and then. Cigs were least favorite. Haven't touch em in years. Haven't made any snuff in a long time either. Still love my pipes, dip, and don't pass on a cigar either. Not a big fan of smoking indoors at my place though...I can do this vape thing fir a couple months...if I have to...I guess
