I'm getting old and grey. This doesn't really bother me. Such is life. Its natural. It happens.
But why the fudge does everyone feel the need to comment about my greys. Stfu. I don't care. I'm sick of hearing it. I'm not the first every person to go grey. At least I still have a full head of hair.

PS, not aimed at anyone here. It's mostly my relatives.

@Warby the silver fox, Mrs. Doom started getting grey hair at 16. She hated it she colored it for a long time, I liked it grey but she didn't. During covid she let it go grey again and everybody compliments her on it. go figure.

I used basswood, harder wood yet easy to carve and sand.
I'm almost done with the floats. Some sanding to do and then I'll prime it.
I filled the tubes with foam board, she won't sink.

Had a half day today (end of the quarter. Straight A's!!!)

Took a FAT nap. Woke up with a sneeze and coughing attack. Thanks to this weather. Below freezing temps to the mid 40s. It's Maryland what do I expect. Happens like this every year.

I don't eat school lunches. I pack. I like my OWN food lol

back in my day that was only an option for the poor kids. but in high school we had Papa Johns Pizza and McDonalds come in, menu was limited to peperoni pizza slices and cheese burgers. $1 a slice and $1 a burger. couldn't go wrong. and yet 9 out of 10 times i still skipped lunch

Yep nope. Can't go out of school for lunch. Have to stay in the building. Can't go up the street to McDonald's or down the street to Tony's and/or no food delivery unless is by parent or listed guardian.

Up here in Bmore you don't have them fancy schools with the McDonald's and a subway in the cafe lol

We had papa johns in hs. For better or for worse because 4 hurricanes beat us back to back in 2004, they gave away free slices. Only time i ate tge schools food and those 3 months were the only times I went to the cafeteria.

My best part of every school day was leaving to walk to the grocery for lunch!!!

I loved school lunch in high school. We had cheeseburgers with ham called "school boys' and they were awesome.
In the mornings they had a fresh cookie and donut bar.

Our high school caf was also well stocked for mornings. They had fruit and more jello than any one school could eat in a day! You could buy ice cream sandwiches too. It was good stuff.
The actual meal was ok sometimes, other times... eh.
It was certainly a good way for everyone who wanted a good meal to get one.
I think they cost $1.25 plus whatever extra stuff you got. Cheap enough.
Tater tots were THE high school meal though!

We had a choice from the grill, a sack lunch which wasn't bad, or a prepared lunch which wasn't great unless the cheese burgers were on the meal for the day. The fries were awesome also.
