currently fighting to stay awake. ill go to bed in an hour and a half and then won't be able to sleep. probably won't go to sleep until pushing midnight. then my alarm clock will scare me awake at 6:10am.

I feel ya. I didn't get much sleep this swing. Was hoping to get a good night sleep when I got home. But no. My daughter got home at midnight and decided to cook herself something to eat. I think I heard ever single cupboard door open and close and plates clang on the bench etc etc.

I feel like death warmed up today.

I feel like death warmed up today.

I used to work in a custom woodshop. The high end kitchen cabinets we made, they all used soft close hinges. You literally cannot slam them. Nice stuff.

Oh we do have soft closing hinges. We renovated our kitchen 2 years ago. I could still hear her use them. She was that loud. All good. I'm over that rant. I just woke up at 8:15am after a good night sleep. Feeling better.

Bought a new bottle of bsi IC-2000 tyre glue last year. It's not a cheap glue. Just went to use it for the first time and it has set in the bottle.

Ordered groceries, with stuff to make some tomato based sauce. Got all the meat, pasta, etc. The receipt shows the shopper grabbed my tomatoes and mushrooms, but I guess she was planning on making some sauce tonight too, because I didn't get mine.

Being that I have to order groceries online, there is no way it is just the shopper misplaced the items as often as it happens. They are just keeping the items.

Now I will have to place another grocery order for a $35 minimum, just to get what I need to make my spaghetti

But, the dumb byatch actually paid 2x more for the items than it would have cost her to just buy them, because her tip was $0, when it would have been $8

Yeah, and somebody in the power industry is out-lobbying the oil industry these days. Everybody is going to be driving around in death traps before too long.

They are building a $1.5 billion dollar manufacturing facility here in Terre Haute which will be making Lithium Ion separators (plastic sheet-like insulators). Terre Haute is a huge plastics manufacturing area. From trash bags, to the foil packaging on potato chips, plastic pellets, etc. It's all made here. I assume that is why they are building that facility here.

We need actual science and real proof... the world is convinced that electric is the way... cleaner and such.
None of these 'cleaner' believers are looking past their extension cords.
Power companies still use oil, coal nuclear... not clean at all.
Making everyone drive electric cars will only drive the cost of EVERYTHING up.
Does ANYONE think the price of electricity will go down once the entire planet is dependant on it for EVERYTHING?

Winthrop Maine bought 4 electric buses. ALL 4 are currently down with mechanical issues and NONE will pass state inspection.
WHO pays to get rid of the hazzardous waste and HOW do the kids get to school once we have a state full of mandated electric broke down buses???
I think they are trying to numb down drivers so when this AWESOME switch to electric occurs, everyone will say that gas cars were slow and problematic anyways.
I'm waiting for the next part of this... where electric cars start having the "performance" features that gas cars used to have... it will 'force' the switch to electric for anyone who enjoys 'sport' driving.
I really think they were trying to mandate a swap to electric before ppl realize their COMPUTER cars will now EXPIRE and be worthless after the batteries need replaced and the manufacturers stop updating them like a freaking laptop.

I keep hearing about how fast electric cars are and blah blah... anyone stop to check the prices on these rockets? I can't afford (nor do I want) the gas versions of these things either!
The electric cars I can afford are slow, exceptionally heavy, beat the hell out of the tires and the roads and are ugly as hell. Am I missing some neat new car company?
I saw a Cybertruck a couple weeks ago and I started laughing...a lot harder than I thought the joke deserved if I'm honest.
And then BMW making ppl susbscribe to a high performance suspension?! WTF???
I'll keep my heavy, outdated, unstylish shatboxes until gas is illegal. They can take my license then too.

The energy and resources needed to mine lithium FAR surpasses fuel production. Not to mention the costs to the environment. I saw a guy explaining all this and it was ridiculous how much worse electric cars are on the environment in the end.

They found a resource they can make trillions off of, and that is the only reason they are pushing it.
