savage life. love to see it since hes ok, i remember my flights on tubes growing up, makes us stronger. glad their ok bro
Yeah, I told him he has a battle scar now. I had stitches a number of times in my life, but never more than 5 or 6. And never internal ones.

Can I just say that I hate 1:1 car shopping? It's so hard to find anyone who's honest about the expensive pile of scrap that they're looking to unload on you.

I like my project cars little, easy to work on, and with manufacturers who go out of their way to make them easy to work on. RC is so much easier than working on the real thing.

I don't find shopping at a dealership, for a brand new car, any more pleasant.

I always liked car shopping. I always got a bit of a thrill out of test driving everything and getting my hopes up that I'd find a diamond on the rough. But then, I always was kinda stupid like that.🤣

Along with pro audio, I was also a mechanic. Let me help everyone out here... new or old, pick a brand, they are ALL gonna break!
Do your research and find a car with a good track record. Not a lot of ppl bitching about a junk trans or that they all need a new ... replaced every 12k miles.
If the cars wrre known to have an issue, don't be pushed into believing "this one is special".
Someone traded it in for a reason. Maybe its good, maybe not... I don't gamble with this kind of cash so I look for a more sure thing.
BRING THE CAR TO A MECHANIC TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT!!!
There are tell tale signs or recent work to a car. Perhaps a bandaide fix was slapped on to an otherwise junk but pretty car. A good mechanic can usually spot that stuff. Look for leaks. Fresh, shiny heads on nuts and bolts means someone was just there doing something. 😉

Personally, I buy something that meets my needs with a decent body and drivetrain. Hopefully cosmetic and tune up are needed and it can be bought cheap.
Then I detail the hell out of them and fix the broken nonsense.
Turn a pig into a peacock so to speak.
I am done with computer controlled cars I think.
The regulations alone are too much. Maybe for a simple commuter but for ANYTHING to soup up at all, at least pre CAN computer.
I feel like after I do an engine swap, the job is done and its time for burn outs.
No time for a 12 hour session tuning a computer afterwards!

If you buy a new car, DON'T buy the first production year of ANYTHING!

If you buy a luxurycar, keep in mind, YOU are testing out the new technology for the manufacturer and YOU pay for it when your $5300 radar, camera computer board having tailights aren't sealed properly and leak.
Having a warranty and getting a warranty clain approved are 2 different things!
IF you want that tech, great! Be sure its something you can afford to fix if it blows up!
Electronic air suspension is great until you find out the airbags are on national backorder and they cost $2300. Thats a wear item btw, no warranty.
Regular shocks are on the shelf and cost $600 for a decent set. Buy what you can afford!
Tradin- in your car is almost always a bad idea. Sell it outright.
There are videos online that explain the economics behind it and how the value of the car gets washed in a loan.
A car dealer wants to talk about what you can afford monthly, not the price of the car.
This is because if they can get you a $175k car that you can make $300 payments on for the rest of YOUR lufe, they scored the biggest sale that week and yay!
Meanwhile YOU are DEFINITELY going to be upside down in a loan forever with this thing... but boy isn't the stereo LOUD!!!
DO THE MATH!!! Figure out the total price you'll be paying for the car!
Don't buy a $65k Ford Focus!
There's more... so much more...

Sorry , found a place to put this , here goes ,,,,, my wife listens to country music , I grew up playing and listening to classic rock , I'm SOOOOO sick n tired of hearing these slacked jawed yokels taking a classic rock song and putting there poetic farm talk to the classic rock songs that are epic songs in my look around the place , what's there FREEEEEEKN problem , did they run out of talent, or ability to imagine there own music , what a bunch of creeps , David Bowie would be pissed , sorry just had to be said , it's just not right , even for toothless hicks singing out of the side of there mouths , stay in your FREEEEEEKN lane !!

I get what you're saying, but when it comes to music, I just say "Love what you love". Art is a very subjective thing. Just like when the dude from NIN got upset that Jonny Cash had covered his song "Hurt" until he heard it. Then he said, "It's not my song anymore". Now, I'm more in to rock and metal than I am Jonny Cash, but his version of the song was fire and by your reasoning, we would not have this amazing song. :2cents:

Having grown up with a dad who always had a radio playing old country, a brother who listened to hard rock and metal, and me scoring around 500 different cassettes when I was about 9, I grew up listening to everything.

I don't particularly care for new age country music, but I don't have a problem with bands that do music from other genres. I particularly like this version of Ghost Riders in the sky by Spiderbait.

No ! These creeps are using exact song scores and throwing there trash lyrics on top of it , completely sucks !!

Then there are the remakes done to be offensive (imo). I was at a party and the women there had somehow gotten control of the clicker after a couple few coctails...
I think it was Freebird covered by Blank 182 or some other equally whiny yet screachy band. Lol!
I worked in stage acts and live audio for a few years and I've yet to hear anything else that so closely resembled someone playing a trash can with a cat. Poor kitty!

A long time ago I used to complain about remakes or "updates", more often than not I find remakes inferior to their source material but I appreciate that they allow a classic to be remembered.

I think it's hilarious when you tell someone they are listening to a remake and they don't believe you.
Yer, when kids think they are listening to something new 😆

Do I need to explain?

Well, to be fair to the seller, it is an awful long journey via kayak delivery. A bargain really 🤪

I'm guessing it's the seller's way of getting around the auction site's % of the selling price fee.

It use to be cheaper for me to buy rc parts from the US. Well not anymore. Narrows my options.
