reminds me of a guy i wasn't friends with with knew from a common friend group. we were both kind of on the fringes of that friend group. nothing that extreme ever happened, but any time he put his mom in a situation to have to be a parent (ie a responsible adult) she would not give a 💩, basically tell it was his fault. he got yourself into it, he can get your self out. then fly off the handle no matter the outcome.
later we found out she was a pill popper and functional alcoholic. the theory was she was messed up and knew it and avoiding responsibilities/parenting was a way to help cover it up. at least in her mind. I'm sure other parents had questions, as did all of us teenagers and young adults. it was enough of a thing that we even had a short lived inside joke about it. if you were getting a little to wild for the group/situation you were said to be the one who was going to crawl up Ryans moms butt. :hehe:
That's pretty sad too. Jeez man.

I firmly believe that all humans are inherently good people...but damn do some of us get twisted.

that's terrible dude. glad everyone was okay.

Was the mom incapacitated by drugs/alcohol? or just a total trash parent?
She used to use cocaine heavily, but shes also just a trashy parent

unless she worked a program and is in some way still involved id say she's still using something. if you're under the influence the scene of a crash where there may be cops is the last place she'd want to be. might be caught/found out. she was put into a place that shamed her, that would explain the anger.

the sad part is she runs a daycare at her house, but I don't think she uses anything with the kids around, and their house is actually really nice. She's just a crappy parent.

She refuses to take care of her own children but has made a career out of taking care of others? ...holy crap

Work is kicking my butt. To the point I'm so beat down that I have no desire to touch my RCs, or really do anything else after work. I'm just drained at the end of every day and just want to go to bed and sleep till the next day's beatings commence.

You are not alone, this is why it's taking so long for my Comp Fox build. :(

slept like crap last night and its finally catching up with me. who would have thought you need more than 3 1/2 hours of sleep?
This is a lot of nights for me honestly.

Same. Except I work fully remote and don't have a commute home to decompress and switch from work mode to dad/husband mode. I walk out of my office and it's straight into another 8 hours of work until bedtime. By the time I'm done coaching baseball practice, running dogs to appointments, going to school events, doing chores around the house (all the dad-life stuff). My tank is past E on negative. If I had the opportunity to win 1 million dollars just by staying awake on the couch while watching a tv show after my kids go to bed...I would 100% lose lol.

It sucks and is fantastic. I would have given the world to have my dad around as much as I get to be around for my kids.

i average about 5 hours a night. I'm functional all day on 4. and i can do that for a week and be ok. but right now on 3 1/2, if i stay moving I'm ok. but if i sit for to long my eyelids start getting heavy.
