Sounds about right....how many in the psych field are genuinely messed up trying to counsel others?? Those who can't ...teach.

Few years ago the local DA recommended a 6 week “educational” program to me. One of my “classmates” that was enrolled in the program had their own practice dealing with the same thing they were enrolled for.

I've been recommended various programs....maybe I need to open an institution to educate others. There is no life like low life

allow me to blow your mind. i have a family member who has been in and out of a psych ward at least twice on a 5150 hold. is bipolar as all hell. there life is a total mess. has been homeless more than once. has burned pretty much every social bridge they've ever encountered and is no longer on speaking terms with anyone in the family. not what i would call the greatest parent in the world (ie, letting your 6 year old play Grand Theft Auto all day while sucking down soda after soda and living a diet of mac & cheese) is a counselor at a special needs school where they specializes in dealing with kids with autism. (allegedly there own kid is on the spectrum. although most of us who have been around the kid just think they lag behind because of parental neglect, and if you ask me personally dyslexia)
make that make sense.

I hear ya. It's a messed up world out there. On 1 hand you want to be outraged these things happen....on the other hand I know how messed up I have been at various points in life, and could interpret this as a beacon of hope I will find gainful employment somewhere beyond the scope of things society would imagine I should.
Today's example of incompetence belongs to the medical field, specialists in their craft even. Got my MRI done yesterday. The tech assures me it's a quick turn around and the surgeon who referred me should have the images for review by Wednesday....too bad my follow up is today in a little while. Here's hoping I'm not driving there for nothing.

In all fairness I have admitted my big claim to employment was as an artist for many years...a tattoo artist at that. There should be no surprise here.
While I am making no comparison between myself and him ....one of the reigning champions of the art world we teach college students about is a guy who cut his own ear off and gave it to some broad a local brothel. Art in general is a profession that belongs to the misfits and lunatics of the world.

Yeahh that was a Dutch man Rembrandt van Rijn. In the Netherlands I had to learn quite a lot about him lol. I don't remember more about him then what you just said

Maybe there were 2...I was thinking Vincent Van Gogh when I wrote it. Either way the precedent was set,lol
Proved myself right there...

modern rc racing be like
>"(brand, car name) (Dirt Edition)"
>looks inside package
>only ever races on clean, smooth, high traction clay
>where dirt? where dust?
>everyone runs the newest Pro Line Glorpenschlorp in XXX-soft ultra long wear compound (extremely surface specific) and the newest body (it doesn't matter it's just the same generic blob anyways) because apparently not running the latest equipment, even when previous gen equipment still has excellent parts support, means your car has a 10% chance of spontaneously exploding thus making you DNF and you will be .05s slower per every 5 laps
>(insert manufacturer) introduces a newer car (the shocks are now 2mm shorter because... ok what even is the point there literally is no difference)
>people buy the new car anyway
>cycle repeats

i swear "just use chatgpt lol" is worse than "just google that lol" since at least you have to have a GENERAL IDEA of what you're looking for when googling, so you'll have to tailor the input keywords to yield your desired search results

with chatgpt it can and WILL hallucinate into thinking it got the right search results when it actually didn't, and you probably won't notice until 2 or 3 prompts later, and congration you just wasted the last 10 minutes on doing basically NOTHING

I tried em, they just make me sleeeeepy. I'm sure theres a medication out there I should probably be on, at least, thats what my wife says.
Sounds like it could be worse. I tend to be wired backwards for drugs. I see Xanax carries the risk of paradoxical side effects like aggression and agitation....that would be my luck. So You may be right....could really spice things up on this thread, lol

I tried to mow but couldn't do it and had to call my sis.
I'm afraid my days are numbered.:(
all i see in that scenario is an excuse to build an RC mower. :naughty:
until you're standing at those pearly gates talking to St. Peter, the glass is half full. ;)
